The woman has already got to be on a major high after winning big on a divorce settlement between soon to be ex-husband Kobe Bryant. Vanessa Bryant won not just one, but all three of Kobe’s houses, as well as a reported half of Kobe’s $150 million! No prenup equals a very happy Vanessa.
TMZ got the scoop that the producers behind VH1’s hit series “Basketball Wives” may just be making Vanessa an offer to be a part of the show’s LA show. Multiple sources close to the production say that producers are putting together “an extremely lucrative pitch for Vanessa” … for her to become a recurring character. One source said, “Vanessa has more than enough storyline and would bring the show to another level.”
No one would ever have approached Vanessa while she was actually married to Kobe, certain that she would say no. Plus, at the beginning of the show, the budget was really tight (and with adding Vanessa, there was sure to be a high cost). However, now that the show has become one the top reality shows in VH1’s lineup, producers have a lot more money to throw out for their stars. If Vanessa accepts the role, apparentlyproducers would instantly make her a LEAD on the LA edition of the show.
Basketball Wives: Miami and Basketball Wives: LA feature more EX-wives than actual wives, as well as girlfriends. The casts include Shaunie O’Neal (ex-wife of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal and executive producer of BBW), Gloria Govan (now ex-fiancee of Los Angeles Lakers player Matt Barnes), and Evelyn Lozada (current girlfriend of the New England Patriots’ own Chad Ochocinco).
Vanessa would be PERFECT for the role, especially with her story of Kobe’s incessant cheating. Viewers see more drama, while VH1 sees more dollars and higher ratings! Win-win situation for everyone I guess, except for maybe Kobe. With all of the dirt that comes out on these shows, who knows what will be said about him? I won’t be looking for him to make an appearance.
