More than just celebrity gossip

Robert Pattinson tried to be cool by pretending to be Prince William’s friend.

Before Twilight, Robert Pattinson wasn’t cool. So when he came over to the US his way of getting peeps to accept him was by using Prince William as his ‘cool’ factor.
What I love about R-Patz is that the stupidest things come out of his mouth and it’s an opportune moment for me to point and laugh, all the while Twihards swoon and drool over his every word.

But I will give Robert credit for using Prince William to make him look cool. Pattinson recently revealed that when he first moved to Los Angeles that he used to tell peeps that he ‘knew’ Prince William. And of course, you can imagine the attention THAT brought, especially here for us Royal Wedding obsessed Americans.

Robert told Graham Norton last week “When I first came to L.A. it was very easy to convince people I was a member of the royal family, or at least that you know people. I hadn’t worked for three years, I was unemployed in London, and when people asked what I’d been doing, I told people I went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts with Prince William.”

And I guess with an English accent, he would be pretty damn believable.

At any rate, at this juncture, he doesn’t need Big Willy Style.
