The whole Rachel Uchitel divorce situation has pretty much been a month in the making, if not more. Okay, that’s not entirely true- honestly, it was probably doomed from the start.
Earlier in the week, TMZ reported that the contentious relationship blew up after Uchitel called 911 on husband Matt Hahn- a former Penn State football player. But, of course, that wasn’t all, as is expected, especially when children are involved.
The couple, who were married a year and a half ago, share a one-year old daughter, and it seems Hahn is requesting full custody of their daughter, as well as child and spousal support.
In the divorce filing, Hah cited “cruel and inhuman treatment… such that the conduct of the defendant [Rachel] so endangers the physical or mental well being of the plaintiff as renders it unsafe or improper for the plaintiff to cohabit with the defendant.” I’m guessing Hahn’s reason for divorce is related to his request for full custody.
Also in the divorce filing, Hahn asks for an “equitable distribution of marital assets.”
Just in case you didn’t hear about the drama yesterday, sources claim that the couple had knock-down, drag-out verbal arguments and that Matt claims Rachel slapped him after he called her names repeatedly. And then there was the whole 911 thing, where Rachel called NYC cops after a nasty argument and asked for help in removing Matt from the house. Though she didn’t follow up and pursue charges against Matt, it was pretty much the end of their relationship, obviously.
