We all know how often we have heard that Lady Gaga was heavily influenced by the group Queen. Her name “Lady Gaga” was inspired by the group’s song “Radio Gaga”. After Freddie Mercury passed away in 1991, Paul Rodgers took over the vocal duties, but apparently Queen’s guitarist Brian May now has other ideas.
He wants Gaga to front the band. Say, what?
Apparently the group is trying to find another singer to join the band so that they can go back on the road.
May told Britain’s Daily Express, “We talk about going out on the road all the time but there’s a bit of a singer problem to put it mildly. We get a lot of offers to work with other people. I worked with Lady Gaga and she’s very creative and is someone we’ve talked about singing, fronting the band with. She’s not just a singer, she writes her own material.”
Now that would be all fine and dandy, however I don’t see Gaga taking up THAT exact offer.
May added, “We have talked about doing duets with other people and in a strange way I almost pressed the yes button. We were debating the idea of a TV show where we have all these guest stars. We didn’t press it today but we are still looking at it. Lady Gaga has said she would like to do something with us.”
I totally can see Gaga hooking up with these guys on some collaborative effort, but NOT fronting the band for gawd’s sake. That is a horrible idea.
