This is one of those posts that may or may not creep you out, especially if you haven’t come to grips with the fact that we are all going to croak and vanish off this planet one day. For those of you secure enough with that, you will find these celebrity last meals quite interesting.
For those of you who are scurred chit-less, well, that’s something you’ve gotta deal with. Check out some of the celebrities or notable peeps and what they devoured before they passed.
Check out some of these rather scrumptious meals that celebrities indulged in before they left the planet. Some were rather delish…or not.
Celebrity Last Meals:
Before Brittany Murphy passed she “had consumed some noodles, leftover Thai food, Gatorade, water and tea with lemon. Ummm, yum?
If you were a Titanic passenger and in “first class”, you went out in style. “The menu for the final dinner service on the Titanic reads as follows: Consomme Olga, poached salmon with mousseline sauce, lamb with mint sauce, roast duckling with apple sauce, sirloin of beef with chateau potatoes, stuffed summer squash, creamed carrots, green peas, foie gras, Waldorf pudding, chocolate and vanilla eclairs, peaches in chartreuse jelly and ice cream.” Now THAT is quite the way to go out!
What about guitar god Jimi Hendrix? Too bad, too sad…a tuna-fish sandwich was all he was able to get down before he had an “accidental” death as a result of a sleeping pill overdose.
Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh was executed on June 11, 2001 in Terre Haute, Indiana. And instead of a big fat steak dinner, he requested…get this…two pints of Ben & Jerry’s mint chocolate-chip ice cream.
Before he consumed large amounts of booze and illegal drugs, John Belushi sipped on a bowl of lentil soup. For those unaware, lentils=beans.
John F. Kennedy
JFK’s final meal was a breakfast held at a meeting. It consisted of Orange juice, coffee, soft-boiled eggs, bacon, and toast with marmalade.
MJ recently passed in June of 2009…controversially, of course. While we do not know the details of the creepy doctor that tended to Jackson, we do know what the gloved one had for his final meal. Spinach salad with chicken breast.
Now while you would think Julia Child would have had a meal fit for a king, unfortunately all she ate was a simple bowl of french onion soup.
With that being said, what would YOU want to have as your last meal, that is, if you knew it was your last?
