Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

Ed Sheeran Covers Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” (VIDEO)

Singer Ed Sheeran stopped by “Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, where he talked about his new song “SING,” his new album, and he even did a little singing.

Interestingly enough, he didn’t sing his own song. Instead, he sang Beyonce’s Drunk In Love! And he did so pretty awesomely too.

To be honest, I could listen to Ed sing the phone book. His voice is so soothing to me.

Ed’s new album X (pronounced “multiply”) is due on June 23rd, and he recently revealed the first single “SING” which was produced by Pharrell. If you are a Pharrell fan, you know dang well this song is good! Funny thing is, Ed wasn’t so sure about doing the song. At any rate, it happened and so did Sheeran’s cover of Beyonce’s Drunk In Love.

Check it out below. It’s pretty sweet.

Selena Gomez Fires Her Parents As Her Managers!

It’s a downward spiral waiting to happen. She’s now supposedly back together with hot mess Justin Bieber who is having a downward spiral of his own and now Selena Gomez is distancing herself from the most influential people in her life…her own parents…by FIRING them!

TMZ is reporting that Selena just fired her mother and her stepfather as her managers!

Sources close to the singer tell TMZ, Selena axed her p-units Mandy and Brian Teefey last month, permanently relieving them of all duties related to the management of her career. Selena’s parents had managed her since her big break at Disney.

We’re told Selena feels she’s outgrown her parents. She believes she’s now old enough — and famous enough — to have a seasoned professional manager with other A-list clients.

Selena has argued plenty with her parents over the direction of her career — not to mention over dating Justin Bieber — but we’re told family friction was NOT the reason for the split. We’re told Selena remains close with both of her parents, although they’re not happy about the decision.

So is it really about “outgrowing” her parents as managers? I highly doubt that. My guess is she is sick and tired of them trying to save her from the disaster that is waiting to happen, that she will unfortunately have to figure out on her own.

Selena does what she wants, yo even if it means cutting her ‘rents from the payroll.

Lady Gaga Gives Boyfriend Taylor Kinney A Lap Dance In PUBLIC! (PHOTO)

Guys, you may call Taylor Kinney a lucky man. Gals, you may call Gaga a lucky woman. At any rate, Gaga did something in public that pretty much shocked the world. Okay, that’s a lie. Gaga does not shock anymore.

On Friday in NYC, Gaga basically poured her booty into her boyfriend Taylor Kinney’s face and well…he liked it!

His hands were pretty much everywhere on Gaga’s body. The pop star went FULL stripper on her man inside the 42West’s nightclub BPM. And TMZ is reporting that Kinney even spanked her.

A source in the VIP area told the website that Gaga showed up with Kinney just after midnight, and the two were all over each other pretty much the entire time.

Well, if this is happening in public, you can about imagine what goes on at home. Yikes!

Miley Cyrus Says She’s Fine Without Liam Hemsworth AND Disney

Miley Cyrus covers Elle magazine and hey look, she’s WEARING CLOTHES! WOOHOO!

Everyone seems to have an opinion about Miley Cyrus these days, so for ELLE’s May Women in Music issue, we asked writer Tavi Gevinson to meet Cyrus on the road and try to get inside her head. The result was an honest, surprising, and revealing conversation between two young women of the same generation. No topic was off limits: Cyrus, 21, and Gevinson, 17, talked intimately about everything from Cyrus’s childhood and the strong connection she has with her fans to depression, heartbreak, sexual freedom and race politics.

Gevinson, eight years old when Cyrus made her debut on the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana and a senior in high school when Cyrus’s VMA performance made jaws drop around the world, met up with the singer in Phoenix for the interview and a night of her Bangerz tour. Gevinson offers a unique point of view on Cyrus’s evolving position in our culture, writing: Cyrus is neither a lost train wreck nor completely sure of her place in the world. She’s just searching for it on an extreme scale, and, actually, in a much more unique, unprecedented way than her critics might think.

Read Gevinson’s entire essay on Cyrus and their full conversation exclusively in ELLE’s May issue, available on newsstands in select cities and digitally on April 15th, and nationwide on April 22nd. But first, a sneak peek at the shoot and a few of the things Gevinson and Cyrus got to talking about:

On being stronger than she used to be…
TAVI GEVINSON: Did you feel that limitation under Disney?
MILEY CYRUS: You know, I’m really thankful that I started on Disney. I got the most intense training. There’s times where I wish I could have just started as a new artist, but the world has kind of allowed me to do that. I feel really lucky—a lot of kid stars get all crazy or stuck in what they were, so they can’t actually become what they’re meant to be. When I went through a really intense breakup—you know, I was engaged—and when I was with him or when I was on Disney, the thing that gave me the most anxiety was not knowing what to do with myself when Disney wasn’t there to carry me anymore or if I didn’t have him. And now I’m free of both of those things, and I’m fine. Like, I lay in bed at night by myself and I’m totally okay, and that’s so much stronger than the person three years ago, who would have thought they would have died if they didn’t have a boyfriend.

On her connection with her fans and what gives her purpose…
MC: I have guys and girls that come out, and they’re like, “The only reason I’m able to admit that I’m gay is because you’ve made me feel like that’s okay.” That is so intense, because that is a part of this generation—it wasn’t always accepted—and I feel like I am a big part of that change. Or they know that I’ve struggled with depression, and that helped them get over theirs. That gives me a big purpose—a reason to wake up in the morning that’s bigger than to put on my fucking feathers and my little outfits.

On feminism and double standards…
TG: I read that you consider yourself a feminist. What does that mean to you?
MC: I’m just about equality, period. It’s not like, I’m a woman, women should be in charge! I just want there to be equality for everybody.
TG: Right! And that’s what feminism is.
MC: I still don’t think we’re there 100 percent. I mean, guy rappers grab their crotch all fucking day and have hos around them, but no one talks about it. But if I grab my crotch and I have hot model bitches around me, I’m degrading women? I’m a woman—I should be able to have girls around me! But I’m part of the evolution of that. I hope.

To be continued in the pages of the May issue of ELLE. Pick up the new issue to read the entire interview.

Plastic Yellow Band: Breathe Air into New Classic Rock

CD cover

Plastic Yellow Bus presents itself as a smorgasboard of musical leanings and inclinations. From psychedelic inflections, infused with the heft of both progressive and classic rock, the group has set forth on a path to return music back to its roots. The overriding mantra for this band is that music is made by musicians and is that is never more evident than on their new full-length CD Breathe Air, which harkens back to sounds of yesteryear by such noted bands as Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd, who could co-headline a tour with this act, so cohesive are their sounds together.

The album dives right in with an emotionally packed track in Lonely Place, which has a rock opera feel to it that builds up to a worthy ending that will definitely have fans grateful they’ve emerged with new material. Fans of southern rock need to look no further than progressive rock track She’s My Woman, which is one of the good time tracks that every rock album needs. Stand-out track I Want to Feel Your Love may be the song on the album that expands their fan base. Thanks to the vocals of lead singer Gerry Jennings, it is easily in a category similar to Stevie Nicks’ extensive collection of songs to remember. What all of the tracks on Breathe Air do better than most albums is prove that this group is made up of true musicians that thoroughly enjoy constructing a song (and album) from beginning to end.

Plastic Yellow Bus is a no-holds-barred southern rock band that has an expansive sound that delves from singer-songwriter fare to progressive and electro-rock. Billed as ‘new classic rock’, this band channels the musical spirit of groups from the 70s and early 80s to a masterful mix that is making critics take note. For those new to Plastic Yellow Bus, now is your chance to take in their sound and breathe.

Before You Exit Release Dangerous Video!

Our favorite pop trio Before You Exit is at it again!

The pop trio, known as Before You Exit, have released their music video for new hit single, “Dangerous”. “Dangerous”, co-written by Connor and Riley McDonough and mixed by Serben Ghenea, was premiered last week on Radio Disney. The video was directed by James Davis II.

About the video, Connor said, “The Dangerous video is definitely one of our favorite videos to date. It was the craziest experience faking getting arrested because it was actually quite scary! Haha hope everyone loves the video!”.

The band is currently out on their spring headlining tour with Plug In Stereo as direct support, along with Macy Kate and Spencer Sutherland. The tour, titled The Dangerous Tour kicked off last week in Raleigh, NC. Before You Exit released their new EP, I Like That, last February. The EP’s title track, peaked at #4 on Radio Disney Top 30 Countdown. When you combine the creative intuition of musical brothers with the wisdom and input of chart-topping songwriters, you get an album of finely crafted pop bursting with spirited authenticity. Though the three brothers in Before You Exit were just in their teens, they had the talent, sophistication, and confidence to find their distinct pop-rock aesthetic through writing with such songwriting heavyweights. For more information or to purchase tickets, please visit: www.BeforeYouExit.com.

The Orlando, Florida-based band of brothers have been playing ever since they were little. The group consists of Connor McDonough, 20, (Vocals/Guitar), Riley McDonough, 18, (Vocals), and younger brother Toby McDonough, 16, (Vocals/Guitar) and they’ve already began to make their mark on the world.

With their most recent EP, I Like That, the three brothers have crafted a soaring pop album of uplifting relationship songs that effortlessly blend sharp hooks with bright and buoyant rock. “We were searching for a sound, and wrote with as many people as we could. It helped us grow and write better songs. For this album we wrote 30 to 40 songs and picked our favorites,” Riley McDonough says. The band drew inspiration and wrote songs from sessions with such seasoned vets as Robert Ellis Orall (Taylor Swift), Dan Book and Alexei Misoul (Hot Chelle Rae), Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low), Bobby Huff, and Stephen Barker Liles (Love and Theft). The album standout and first single, “I Like That”, is a tune with tenderly romantic lyrics and big pop-rock beat. Ryan Daly and Anthony Improgo, along with Connor McDonough, produced the album. “They really listened to what we wanted to do and let us try out our ideas, no matter how crazy,” Connor says laughing. “Because of that, we feel really connected to the way the recording turned out,” Riley adds. The group is even more excited for the release of their brand new music coming soon!

With Before You Exit’s release, the I Like That EP, the bandhas been critically acclaimed by the likes of MTV, J-14, Seventeen, Radio Disney, Teen, Teen Vogue, Popstar!, Just Jared, just to name a few. The band has also toured/played with high profile acts such as Cody Simpson, Olly Murs, The Wanted, Fifth Harmony, and even the Jonas Brothers.

Conjuring up the optimism in the band’s name-inspired by the sentiment “make a difference before you exit”- the band works daily to make their way to the top but they never fail to stop and appreciate what has got them thus far. “There’s no way we’d be anywhere without our incredible fans. They are behind us every step of the way and are a huge piece of this band,” states youngest brother, Toby. In light of the many short lived and fly by night artists, this young, singer/songwriting, brother driven band, is one to be around for a while.

You go boys!

Pia Mia Is Kanye West’s Protege and Other Girlfriend?

Pia Mia, Kanye West’s protege, could possibly be his other girlfriend?

Radaronline.com is reporting that even though Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are having a ball getting ready for their big wedding, West’s relationship with his hot young protege Pia Mia is also getting attention.

Via Radaronline.com,

“West and the stunning songstress have been working on music together under his GOODMUSIC production company for the past few months. “Kanye is producing some tracks for her and he’s quite involved,” a source in his camp tells Radar exclusively. “He believes she could be the next Rihanna.”

Pia, born Pia Ajdba Mia Perez, is only seventeen and “Kanye has made it clear to everyone that their relationship is strictly creative,” the insider says. But as they’ve grown closer, and the teen has become one of his trusted advisors, their relationship has raised eyebrows.

One source who worked with the singer on a shoot in L.A. earlier this month tells Radar, “Kanye called her and the conversation sounded kind of flirty and romantic. It could be that they are just good friends but it was definitely more than just a professional call.”

Another James Franco type scandal, perhaps, Mr. West?

A source supposedly told Radar Online that he sees Pia Mia as the key to keeping himself relevant and using her to grow his career…because we all know being involved with Kim Kardashian certainly isn’t helping his career any. Am I right?!!!

“Kanye thinks she’s young, fresh and hip — totally his target audience,” the insider says. “He’s been consulting her on a lot of his creative projects, including the Kanye x APC collection.” The source went on to add, “Kanye’s creative team was pretty shocked that he would use a teenager as his confidante. And Kim was actually kind of agitated by it, because he doesn’t usually want her input on design stuff. She was a little jealous.”

I highly doubt Kanye is trying to kick it with a 17-year-old, but then I again I would never have expected that from my beloved James Franco either. Sigh.

Shakira Says Media Misinterpreted Her “Territorial” Statement About Her Husband

Shakira is now further explaining what she said about her boyfriend Gerard Pique to the media. About a month ago, Billboard magazine posted an interview with Shakira in which she called her man “very territorial. Since he no longer lets me do videos with men, well, I have to do them with women.”

However now that everyone has been wondering why Shakira would be with a man who many deemed controlling and jealous, the Voice judge is now having to clarify her statement. Apparently she was just being funny.

She said, “I was being humorous and now I see that some press took it very literally! The reality is that we have a beautiful relationship of mutual trust, and jealousy has never been an issue on either side.”

She went on to say, “I’ll be more careful when attempting to use my sense of humor, as clearly it can be easily misinterpreted!”

Interesting sense of humor you have there Shakira! I don’t get it, but whatever!

Demi Lovato Topless Photos Surface!

Demi Lovato topless photos have surfaced and they are REAL! The pop superstar is shown in a series of photos that leaked out on Saturday. And how do we know for certain that the pics are in fact Miss Lovato?

Well, there is also a photo of her in bed with boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. And yes, there are in fact still dating so it is not a Lovato look-alike.

Not so surprising is that neither Lovato nor Valderrama have commented about the leaked pictures. And will they? Probably not.

Let’s just hope there isn’t a Demi Lovato sex tape on the horizon. Handy Manny would definitely be canned.

Check out the uncensored Demi Lovato topless photos here.

Miley Cyrus Breaks Down At Boston Concert (VIDEO)

Miley Cyrus has been known for her crazy antics as of late, especially while she has been on tour. But last night at her concert in Boston, Miley broke down hard.

We learned yesterday that Miley lost her little puppy Floyd and to say she was and still is devastated is an understatement. She even forewarned her Twitter followers yesterday with the following tweet.

“I’m sorry in advance if I am not myself tomorrow Boston,” she wrote. “I will try my best to be my best.”

Things got real difficult for Miley during her soundcheck before the show. She broke down in tears and dedicated the song “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac to her “favorite” pooch. “It’s gonna be hard for me to sing this next song,” she told the audience. “I’m not sounding myself, I don’t feel myself. “I’m sure you guys already know, but the reason I’m so upset is my dog. “I shouldn’t say he was my favorite, but he was my favorite, and he passed away.”

Loss is horrible for everyone. I absolutely hate seeing people cry, unless it’s Kim Kardashian crying because her plastic surgery job was not tight enough.

Check out the video below! It will get better Miley!

Nick Cannon Says Wife Mariah Carey Doesn’t Know Who Kim Kardashian Is

Nick Cannon is still being open with his private life that I am sure Mariah Carey isn’t thrilled to hear about. He recently blabbed about his sexual conquests here and then caused quite the controversy with his “white face” banter (here). But this time with Howard Stern, Cannon got even more revealing, discussing his intimate life with the legendary MC.

“She doesn’t care when I talk about our sex life because our sex life is amazing,” he admitted. But one thing she doesn’t like is him talking about his past lovers like he did just last week.

The good news is that “She doesn’t even know who Kim Kardashian is…,” he said, adding, “She doesn’t pay attention to that.”

And oh how I would LOVE to live in Mariah Carey’s world…NOT know who Kim Kardashian is?! YES, please!!!

In the video Nick explained, “People feel like they can ask me anything, because I say anything. I’m brutally honest, and now my wife doesn’t like when I come on your show! She doesn’t care when I talk about our sex life, because our sex life is amazing. She’s one of the most beautiful women in the world. But…when we bring up — I’m not gonna do it — other people’s names, she’s like, ‘Why would you even do that?'”

Um, hello?! Do you blame her? Especially for bringing Kim K into the whole dang thing…even though she doesn’t know who she is. *blink blink* Straight up SHADE!

Rita Ora Talks Finding Love With Calvin Harris

Rita Ora covers Elle UK magazine’s May 2014 issue and talks about her love story with her current boyfriend Calvin Harris. Apparently she’s smitten.

What…Bruno Mars and Rob Kardashian didn’t do it for her?

Check out the highlights from the interview below:

For more, be sure to pay a visit to ELLE UK!

On Current Boyfriend Calvin Harris:
“There are so many things. The fact that he got something out of me that I never thought I had. Yes, like falling in love. I just didn’t think I had it. I’d never experienced it before. And I was just like in the wilderness thinking, ‘Will it ever happen?'”

On her new album:
“I didn’t know what the f*ck I was doing on my first album. Let’s be honest. I was a kid having the time of my life. And I made a party album – party and bullsh*t. This time I’m still having a great time, but I’m in a great, loving place. Now I want people to see you can have fun and be in love at the same time.”

On her famous tattoo:
“This is Rosetta. It’s based on an original piece by Alberto Vargas, who was an incredible illustrator in the 1930s. He was one of the creators of the pin-up image. That’s our build, our power. That’s why I was obsessed with it; learning what men don’t understand about women and what women don’t understand about men. I was obsessed with the painting a long time ago, and then I got it done six months ago. I just love pretty things, whether it is art, a song or a pair of shoes.”

I must have been living under a rock because I sure didn’t know that Rita Ora was dating Calvin Harris. I thought she was still reeling from her breakup from Rob Kardashian. Eye roll.

Michael Jackson Posthumous Album “XSCAPE” Set For Release On May 13th

Well, it’s happening…a new Michael Jackson album and I’m not quite sure what to make of it.

On May 13th, Epic Records, in conjunction with the Estate of Michael Jackson, will release XSCAPE, an album of new music by the internationally beloved music icon and King of Pop, Michael Jackson. The project features eight new tracks, which the world will be hearing for the very first time on the new album. For the ultimate fan experience, XSCAPE will also be available in a Deluxe Edition, which includes all of the sourced Michael Jackson recordings in their original form.

XSCAPE is executive produced by Epic Records Chairman and CEO L.A. Reid, who, after an initial mining of Jackson’s archives by the Estate, was granted unlimited access to the treasures representing four decades of material on which Jackson had completed his vocals.

Reid curated the final list of recordings to deliver to the producers, who retooled the production to add a fresh, contemporary sound that retains Jackson’s essence and integrity. It’s a process Reid calls “contemporizing.” The album’s lead producer, Timbaland was one of a handful of producers Reid believed had the gravitas, depth and range to creatively engage with Jackson’s work. Additional producers include global hitmakers Rodney Jerkins, Stargate, Jerome “Jroc” Harmon and John McClain.

“Modern music and artistry would look and sound completely different if not for the groundbreaking contributions Michael Jackson gifted to the world,” remarked L.A. Reid. “Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in presenting through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed strong desire to work with. We are extremely proud and honored to present this music to the world.”

The title of this album honors Michael’s album naming process. He always chose a song from the album to name his projects and, beginning with THRILLER, used only one word titles, each with an edgy quality to them. This is true of the new project. Written by Michael Jackson and Jerkins, and produced by Jackson and Jerkins, “Xscape” has further significance in that it is the one track on the album that was ‘contemporized’ by the producer who recorded it originally in the studio with Michael.

John Branca and John McClain, co-executors of the Estate of Michael Jackson said, “Michael was always on the cutting edge and was constantly reaching out to new producers, looking for new sounds. He was always relevant and current. These tracks, in many ways, capture that spirit. We thank L.A. Reid for his vision.”

XSCAPE is a long awaited collection of exciting new music that will thrill the legions of fans of one of the world’s most revered and best-selling artists, as well as attract a whole new generation discovering his artistry for the first time. In conjunction with the release of XSCAPE, Epic / Sony Music will launch an unprecedented global campaign with the One Sony sister companies, Sony Corporation, Sony Mobile Communications, and Sony Network Entertainment International drawing from all of Sony’s strengths and consumer reach.

“Michael has long been a treasured member of the larger Sony family,” said Kazuo Hirai, President and CEO, Sony Corporation. “Starting with the release of ‘Off The Wall’ in 1979, Sony Music Entertainment has since released all of Michael’s recordings. We are thrilled and privileged to be collaborating as One Sony to celebrate Michael’s latest legacy, and bringing his fans an exclusive experience through our upcoming initiatives with our products and services.”

Sara Gilbert and Linda Perry Are Married

Gotta say congrats to another celebrity couple for tying the knot! Sara Gilbert and songwriter Linda Perry were married Sunday, March 30! Sara’s rep confirmed the happy news to Us Weekly.

While neither Sara nor Linda have spoken out yet, actress Juliette Lewis shared her well wishes to the couple before the ceremony, tweeting, “Holiday by Madonna playin, sun is beaming, gettin ready 4 the wedding of 1of my fave couples in the universe @RealLindaPerry @THEsaragilbert.”

Sara first revealed her engagement news to her fellow cohosts on The Talk last April. “It’s like the most amazing proposal ever,” she said about Linda’s romantic musical picnic proposal. “I’m sitting there listening and I’m kind of daydreaming and I’m thinking like, ‘If I ever proposed to her this would be an amazing way to do it.’ The people picnicking next to us pull out string instruments from under the blanket, walk over and they start playing [The Cure’s] Lovesong,” she said.

Talk about a perfect proposal! With elaborate planning like that, I’m sure the wedding was even more beautiful. Congrats to Sara, Linda, and their families. Wishing them much happiness in the years to come!

Lady Gaga Says Boyfriend Taylor Kinney Wears The Pants In Their Relationship

Lady Gaga and her man Taylor Kinney are still going strong. And while you may think that Lady Gaga completely has her man on a ball and chain, you better think again. She seems as if she has hardcore control on stage and when she’s working the streets in her eccentric ensembles, but believe it or not when she’s at home…her man is in charge.

During an interview on Sirius XM’s The Morning Mash Up on Monday, March 24th Gaga admitted that she is submissive to boyfriend Taylor Kinney.

She gushed, “Yes, actually. He’s totally in charge. I mean, when I am home, I am like, shoes are off, I’m making him dinner. He has a job, too, and he is really busy! I’m in charge all day long, the last thing I want to do is tell him what to do. It’s not good for relationships to tell men what to do.”

And whatever it is she is doing must be working because these two have been dating since they first met on the set of her 2011 “You and I” music video

During an interview on the Ellen Degeneres Show on November 25th, Gaga said, “We were in the middle of this scene and I remember that he kissed me and it wasn’t scripted for him to kiss me. I was sort of like was um, you know, was that real or was that fake? He didn’t really say anything and that was fine by me and we kept filming.”

She went on to add that her man isn’t as “normal” as you may think. She said, “He is extremely strange, actually, and we complement each other’s weirdness. And you know, at the end of the day he’s my best friend. And having your lover be your best friend, I mean, it’s the best thing ever.”

Well, glad she found someone just as weird as her!
