Cameron Diaz’s raunchy comedy Bad Teacher is in theaters this weekend and Cameron is getting in her last minute promotional gigs.
In an interview with Parade.com, Diaz talks about her love scene with ex Justin Timberlake and what it was like to play a sassy teacher.
Highlights from the interview below!
ON HER MEMORABLE LOVE SCENE WITH REAL-LIFE EX JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE:
“Justin and I wanted to create the least sexy sex scene ever seen in film and show the total lack of chemistry between these two people, and I think that we succeeded! It was great to work with Justin because he’s so talented. We’ve always loved laughing together and yes, we went out, and yes, people think it should be awkward, but it really isn’t. We’re friends. We know each other so well and we’ve allowed our friendship and our love to totally morph and change into something totally appropriate for us to be able to do this with one another. It wouldn’t be the same if I had done that with somebody else. No other man would have ever made those faces on camera. He is so brave to do that. For the sake of comedy, we had a great time!”
ON PLAYING THE LESS-THAN-CHARMING TEACHER:
“She really does whatever she feels like and she says whatever she feels like because she doesn’t really have the conscious that it takes to have to even worry whether or not she hurt somebody’s feelings. Even though you think you should hate her, you actually want to be her because you’re like, ‘If I could just have even one conversation with one person where I could just say whatever I feel and not wish that I hadn’t said it.’ That’s what I loved about her.”
