She doesn’t NEED anymore money but if anyone should get a $50 million Pepsi deal it’s Beyonce. Let’s just say that Blue Ivy is guaranteed at least 50 cool million Christmases.
FOR its campaign with Beyoncé next year, Pepsi is making sure that Bey gets paid!
The company has decided to work with Bey on a hybrid project that will include commercials AND a multi-million dollar fund to support her chosen creative projects.
In a statement Bey said, “Pepsi embraces creativity and understands that artists evolve. As a businesswoman, this allows me to work with a lifestyle brand with no compromise and without sacrificing my creativity.”
And yes, she’ll get some promotion for her next album AND she gets a sponsored Super Bowl halftime show AND her face on a limited-edition line of soda cans.
Welcome to Beyonce’s world.
Yes there will be collaborative projects…yet to be named, but trust, there could be pretty much anything these two joined forces have in mind.
For Pepsi, the goal is to enhance its reputation with consumers by acting as something of an artistic patron instead of simply paying for celebrity endorsements. In other words, they don’t want to look as though they are just dishing out dough for celebs to make their product look good.
“Consumers are seeking a much greater authenticity in marketing from the brands they love,” said Brad Jakeman, president of PepsiCo’s global beverage group. “It’s caused a shift in the way we think about deals with artists, from a transactional deal to a mutually beneficial collaboration.”
