Augustana, new album
Augustana is back with the release of their anticipated self-titled third album for Epic Records on April 26th. You may have already heard the album’s first single, “Steal Your Heart” on the radio, which proves their latest album should be every bit as awesome as their previous ones- if not more so, as it delivers on the emotionally resonant, rootsy pop/rock that the band has become known for since their 2005 release, All The Stars and Boulevards.
Fronted by vocalist/lyricist Daniel Layus, Augustana’s latest album was recorded in Los Angeles with Grammy Award-winning producer/engineer Jacquire King who is known for his work with Norah Jones and Kings of Leon (among others.)

There’s no doubt that Augustana’s 2005 album, which reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart and spawned two Top 40 hits was a massively successful debut album. In fact, one of its hits, “Boston”, was even certified digital platinum. And their sophomore follow-up, Can’t Love, Cant Hurt, picked up where their debut left off spawning hits like “Sweet and Low and “I Still Ain’t Over You.”
“The creative and musical progression of this record feels like the most true expression of who this band is in its most basic form,” said Layus. “We worked really hard to bring the sound to a new frontier, but not so far that it lost that sense of organic sensibility.”
