Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

Taylor Swift Reportedly Joins The Voice As Advisor

Taylor Swift has reportedly signed on for a role with The Voice!

The singer will serve as an advisor for the upcoming seventh season of the competition. Like Coldplay singer Chris Martin in the sixth season, Taylor will be advising contestants across all four teams.

Taylor will work alongside coaches Adam LevineBlake SheltonGwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. Other advisros include the legendary Stevie Wonder (who is working with Adam), Gavin Rossdale (working with wife Gwen), Little Big Town (working with Blake), and Alicia Keys (working with Pharrell).

Taylor has been in the industry for a little while, and has had a great amount of success and impact, so it makes sense that she would be a guest mentor. I’m sure she will have great advice for the contestants.

NBC also announced hat Christina Aguilera, who served as a coach for seasons one, two, three and five, will return to the show  for season eight. Taking off time for her pregnancy, Christina showed Gwen love and congratulated her on Twitter. “So excited to have you join #TheVoice squad @GwenStefani! Welcome to our crazy fam! Kisses- xoxo #blondesdoitbest,” she tweeted.

As previously reported, Gwen will join Pharrell Williams for the singing competition. Adam Levine and Blake Shelton will also return to the series.

Again, I’m definitely excited that Gwen will be joining the show! She has a lot of great experience in this industry, and I think she’ll be amazing at not only spotting talent, but nurturing that talent as well!

REPORT: Gwen Stefani Might Be Joining The Voice

Looks like Gwen Stefani might be the newest judge in that revolving chair! TMZ has reported that the singer is in talks to join The Voice!

If the reports are true, Gwen would replace pregnant Christina Aguilera on the upcoming seventh season. She would sit alongside Pharrell Williams who is already set to take CeeLo Green‘s spot. Original judges Blake Shelton and Adam Levine are expected to return.

TMZ  is reporting the one-year deal is official, and that producers first began the search in February after Aguilera announced her pregnancy. NBC wanted Christina to stay, but she was “having a difficult time already and ultimately bowed out.” NBC had no comment.

I think it would be great to see Gwen on the show. She has a lot of musical experience, and would be sure to bring a lot of great advice to the next season’s contestants. My advice to NBC, if this story isn’t true, to strongly consider it! I think it is, but they’re trying to keep it under wraps for a little while. We’ll see soon enough. Filming is set to begin in June and the show will premiere in the fall.

Pharrell Joining The Voice, Adam Levine Might Not Be Returning As Judge

For all of you “The Voice” fans, you may be getting some sad news soon. Adam Levine, who has been on The Voice for six seasons, may not be coming back.

Via our friends at Extra TV:

Levine has been a mainstay on “The Voice” for the past six seasons, but will he return for a seventh? “Extra’s” special correspondent Charissa Thompson caught up with the singer, who admitted he was excited about the Pharrell news, but didn’t know if he would be joining new coach Pharrell for the next cycle.

Adam said, “Man that’s great…When I found out that news, don’t know if we’ll be joining him because once again I’m checking my schedule, so when I verify I will be more excited.”

Usher also weighed in on Pharrell, saying, “I’m really happy, given that I felt like maybe I had some influence in the decision, given the fact that he came in as a mentor with me.”

Shakira offered her support, saying, “I love Pharrell, he’s great, I’ve worked with him in the past, he’s really awesome, he’s gonna do a terrific job I’m sure.”

I’m sure Pharrell will be awesome, but if Adam leaves I think it definitely will be a different show.

Who is your favorite The Voice judge?

Cee Lo Green Is Done With The Voice For Good!

Cee Lo Green is moving on! After four seasons on NBC reality singing competition The Voice, the singer has announced that he won’t be returning to the show….ever!

“I’m going to continue my relationship with NBC,” he said in an appearance on the Feb. 19 episode of Ellen.   “I have a television show development deal with them as well and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year. But yeah, I’m going to miss The Voice too. So I’m not coming back guys.”

Ellen DeGeneres asked Cee Lo to clarify. “I’m not coming back at all,” he said. “I don’t want to wear out my welcome there. You know what I’m saying. I have so many other things that I want to do. I haven’t released an album in four years. I’m almost done with my album.”

Lionel Richie joined Cee Lo on the show, and they made the announcement that they’ll also be going on tour together! “He’ll be with me, on the road,” Lionel chimed in.

Cee Lo was one of the original four mentors on The Voice sitting with Adam LevineBlake Shelton and Christina Aguilera. Both he and Christina were judges for seasons 1-3. Shakira and Usher took their spots for season 4, but they came back for season 5.

I don’t watch The Voice often, but there’s definitely a lot of talent there that Cee Lo has been a part of helping to groom. I’m sure he’ll be missed, but I’m ready to see what he has cooking up in the music realm!

Carson Daly Is Getting Hitched!

Someone is finally making an honest woman out of someone. The host of The Voice has finally proposed to his girlfriend Siri Pinter, according to reports.

There is speculation as to when she was proposed to because she had been seen out and about with the ring before, but now it is officially confirmed that the two are to be married soon.

The couple have been together for several years and already have two children together – son Jack 3, and daughter Etta, 13 months.

Does anyone remember when Daly was briefly linked to Christina Aguilera during her ‘Dirrty’ days? How quickly times flies.

This is the first marriage for both and we wish them a long and successful marriage.

The Voice Contestant Releasing New Music!

OH em gee! FINALLY, somebody from The Voice is releasing music that doesn’t totally suck!

Singer, songwriter, musician TERRY McDERMOTT has released “Pictures,” the first single off his forthcoming EP due out later this summer and first since placing second on NBC’s “The Voice” last season.

The creation process for “Pictures” was fast as was its rise up the iTunes Rock Singles chart. Less than a week after it was written, much less recorded and mastered, it hit #1. In addition, the official music video for “Pictures” has been viewed over 41,000 times. The #1 track will be included the 5-song Pictures EP.

Shortly following his successful run on “The Voice,” the New Orleans-based musician flew to Los Angeles to write songs with Todd Burman, a musician with whom he had toured with in the past. On their first day writing together, McDERMOTT and Burman had completed “Pictures” and recorded a rough version. The following day the song was posted to Soundcloud and the response was immediate. Without proper promotion, “Pictures” received 26,000 hits on the first day it was posted.

“Todd was a big supporter while I was on the show, and the first thing I did when it was over was call him,” TERRY recently shared in an interview with Examiner.com. “We went to his house in Hollywood and sat there with a guitar and solidified everything really quickly. I remember we both had a similar vision of what we wanted the song to be about, but from different angles. I was looking at it more from the point of a lost love or girlfriend, and Todd was looking at it as more of a family member.”

Adam Levine: From One Fame Whore To Another…

As if he’s one to talk. And after reading excerpts from his latest interview, you will say what everyone else wants to say but we will, because we are never ever scared of poptrix…

Sit down, famewhore. Pot, kettle, you’re blacker than Whoopi Goldberg’s lips! And not only is he a hypocrite, now he’s a rich hypocrite. About $35 million richer thanks to NBC’s ‘The Voice’, which has dramatically increased his public profile and showcased his antics.

“As a pop star, you don’t have to be that smart for people to think you’re intelligent. The bar is f–king low; if you have half a brain, they think you’re amazing. So I have that going for me,” he jokes, referring to his likability on The Voice, before getting serious and suggesting fans relate to his honesty:

“I don’t lie, and that’s unusual in a world of media-obsessed, media- trained f–king liars who will sit here with you and totally bulls–t you to further their own careers,” he insisted before adding, “I say the wrong thing, I offend people, and I piss people off, all of which I like.”

How many times has Adam Levine pissed you off this year already? Or how about today?!

Former Team CeeLo Artist Snags Up Green As Manager!

Grammy Award Winning artist and coach on NBC’s hit show The Voice, CeeLo Green sat down with Christina Milian to exclusively confirm that he and his own management team at Primary Wave Music, are now co-managing former “Team CeeLo” artist Juliet Simms. Since coming in 2nd on The Voice last season, this savvy, sultry rock star wild child has been dedicated to writing and recording new music, touring the world, and recently signed with Republic Records to release her new single, “Wild Child,” available on iTunes Dec. 11th. Fans can also expect a debut solo album from Juliet this spring 2013.

“Juliet has that electricity in her voice, originality, likability and real brand-ability,” CeeLo Green passionately explains. “As I told her from the beginning, I’m dedicated to building her career and with the help of Primary Wave’s resources, I’m confident that she’ll be the girl to watch in 2013.”

This new management deal formally solidifies CeeLo Green’s true belief in the artists that he turns around for and specifically recognizes Juliet’s rock star ability to potentially become The Voice’s big breakout star. As a favorite throughout the competition last season, Juliet’s unapologetic growl, edgy-style and powerful pipes made a real impression on America, especially during her renditions of James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and The Police’s “Roxanne”, both of which peaked at #1 on the iTunes Rock Chart.

Usher and Shakira Joining The Voice Next Season

The coaches for hit NBC show The Voice are changing up for Season 4! Usher and Shakira will take the place of present coaches Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo GreenNBC announcedAdam Levine and Blake Shelton are staying on, at least through the next season.

Christina and Cee Lo wanted to take a break to work on other projects. Christina will be touring to promote her new album, Lotus, and Cee Lo has plans for new music and a scripted comedy about his life. However, both promise that they will be back!  “By pursuing my first passion of music during the break, I am also able to come back and offer even more to my team on The Voice in the future,” Christina said in a statement.

“I will return for season five and will be watching season four,” Cee Lo was quoted as saying.

“We are thrilled to welcome Usher and Shakira to The Voice,” Robert Greenblatt, the chairman of NBC Entertainment, said in statement. “Doing two back-to-back cycles of this show requires a tremendous amount of time and we are happy to accommodate the commitments made by Christina and Cee Lo.”

That will be an interesting change to the line up!

Joss Stone Turned Down The Voice

She has been hanging out in the music industry background for a hot minute and Joss Stone has decided she wants to stay there…for now. Girlfriend was offered a gig on the UK version of The Voice as one of the mentors, but she declined. So was it the money or lack thereof? Was it the possible exposure that she could get for promotional purposes?

Apparently, Joss wants to strictly focus on her music and not get wrapped up in reality shows.

She tells Britain’s Daily Express, “I was approached for The Voice in Britain but I don’t think so. The thing is I love music and I love singing with other people and I don’t see it as a competition at all. I feel that those things are really good to get exposure but they kind of make it into a competition and that is just sad. Other than that it is great because they get to be heard by millions and they never would have been before.”

So far The Voice has signed on Jessie J, Tom Jones, will.i.am and Danny O’Donoghue.

Jessie J Spoils The Voice With Twitter Posts

There is nothing worse than someone spoiling a show before it airs or if you are the West Coast and have to wait to watch the show until it airs an hour or so later than the East Coasters. Well, singer Jessie J did just that when she took to Twitter to reveal her remaining singers on The Voice before the names were even announced on the show!

Jessie, who is a judge on the U.K. version of the talent contest, went online to post a photo of herself with her semi-finalists Vince Kidd and Becky Hill on Twitter.com THREE freakin’ hours before the show aired. Whoops!

I guess she forgot that viewers had to wait to see the show?

Even though she got a ton of feisty and crabby tweets from fans due to her reveal, she really didn’t care.

Her response? “B**chy people + Twitter Unhealthy soul.”

Justin Bieber Sings About Sex and Fondue On The Voice (VIDEO)

Justin Bieber was on The Voice finale to perform his new hit single Boyfriend for the first time and let me just say, the kid is trying to change his teeny boppin’ tune to that of a ladies man.

The Biebs came out onto the stage wearing a leather studded jacket and low-rising jeans that he constantly pulled up in his crotch-al region. I STILL don’t understand the pants hanging off the butt ordeal. What is it a challenge of some sort to see if the pants will stay on the booty while walking all bow-legged? Is it a fitness regimen that involves tightening one’s buns and inner thighs that I did not know about? Whatever it is, it’s stupid.

I get that he is 18 now and he’s legally considered an adult, but to me he’s still a baby. So to see him grabbing his coot and having grown ass women rubbing their tatas up on him and grabbing at his clothes while giving him an omg-i-want-to-take-you-to-bed-and-no-i-don’t-mean-tucking-you-in-with-your-teddy-bear-to-read-a-book-to-you look is a tad disturbing.

At any rate, here’s the got damn video of the performance.

The Voice’s Erin Martin Stuns Judges In Super Sexy Lingerie Style Ensemble

Heck with the singing!

We all know that sex sells and The Voice contestant Erin Martin proved that last night when she took the stage to battle against The Shields Brothers. Martin pretty made judge Blake Shelton’s eyes pop out of his head when he laid his eyes on her super sexy lingerie type ensemble.

Sure she wasn’t the greatest on stage voice-wise last night (because this isn’t just a singing competition, right?) but she managed to get major attention with her choice of performance wear. The Chicago native showed off her long legs and her small waist in an ensemble that included thigh high boots and Spandex.

After Erin took on The Shields Brothers with Tina Turner’s “What’s Love Got To Do With It”, Blake Shelton said, “Erin, I am so glad you wore that. I’m married now, and girls wearing outfits like that is all I have left. I pick Erin.”

Blake wasn’t the only judge smitten with Erin. Her own judge Cee Lo Green picked her as well, even though her notes were off in certain areas. He cited her performance as “bizarre” but definitely felt he could mold her into something better. I’m sure he wishes he could, in more ways than one!

But get this. While everyone was swooning and drooling over Erin, guest mentor Ne-Yo was not exactly thrilled. He told Erin something that even shocked her!

He said, “I’m looking at you, you’re cute. But there’s a lot of cute in the world. What else you got?”

Oh snap!

Her response to Ne-Yo’s comment? “I couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that someone didn’t think I was sexy.”

Well if she doesn’t win the Voice or get a recording contract out of all this, Victoria’s Secret may have a spot for her.

Adam Levine Snubs Simon Cowell’s Talent Show Face-off

Adam Levine is having great success with The Voice and Simon Cowell is seeing that. But the music mogul is dead set on making a competition among the top talent shows in one huge television spectacular.

In case you haven’t heard, Cowell is determined to pitch the next winner of The X Factor against the champions of his ex show American Idol and the new wildly successful The Voice.

Cowell recently offered up a challenge via Twitter saying, “Maybe the winner of The X Factor USA this yr (year) should compete with (the) winner of The Voice & (American) Idol in a super final. Just a thought. I’d be up for it.”

But Levine thinks it isn’t such a good idea. Adam responded by telling Access Hollywood, However, “Simon’s just so clever. He’s so hell bent on competing with other shows. We’re not really interested in a way… That’s kind of a cool idea, actually, but I’m not so sure we’re totally interested in what everyone else is doing. We’re just kind of worrying about what we do because we all know the more we worry about everybody else, the more the quality of what you’re doing tends to suffer. So, we want to just do what we do.”

I don’t think it isn’t a good idea either. I’m thinking that Simon Cowell is just a tad pissed that he didn’t think of The Voice concept first.
