Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

Sherri Shepherd Leaving The View, Jenny McCarthy Might Be Rolling Out Too!

It’s official! This will be the last season of The View for Sherri Shepherd. The co-host announced that she will be leaving the talk show after 7 years.

“It’s been seven wonderful years on The View and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on,” Sherri said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

Jenny McCarthy, who’s only been on the show for one season, responded to the news with some tweets that implied she might be leaving herself pretty soon.

TMZ has suggested that both Sherri and Jenny (if she really is leaving), are not going voluntarily, but had been fired due to ratings and personality conflicts. The site also said that Bill Geddie, the executive producer, would not be returning to the show either. An anonymous source told Entertainment Weekly that Sherri might just be replaced by a male co-host next fall. A statement from ABC did not make the firing rumors any better. “’The View’ will be moving in an exciting new direction next season and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively,” the network said, according to Huffington Post.

This change to the lineup would leave Whoopi Goldberg as the sole host of the show, since Barbara Walters is retiring after this season. ABC is really going to have to work to find some great new faces. I would say it’s time to hang up the hat on the show, but I still think the concept of the show is and always has been great. Bringing together hosts with different views  to discuss hot topics in the world, whether politics, world events, or pop culture, has really worked for the show. That’s why other talk shows have been created along the same line. Hopefully, ABC is able to bring together a good lineup!

Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg Engaged!

Looks like Jenny McCarthy is headed down the aisle again! She announced on The View today, April 16, that she is getting married to boyfriend  Donnie Wahlberg.

“I just got engaged!” she told her co-hosts and audience members. Flashing her yellow sapphire ring, Jenny revealed that her son Evan helped out with the surprise proposal last weekend. Donnie popped up on the show too, doting on his fiancee! The couple doesn’t have a date set yet, but they’re thinking about a late summer wedding in August 2015.

It was announced in July last year that the pair were officially dating. This will be the second marriage for both. Congrats to them…they seem really happy! Offering up best wishes!

In other news for The View, in honor of Barbara Walters‘ last week on the show, ALL 11 hosts are heading back to the table on May 15. That’s :

Meredith Vieira (moderator, 1997–2006, season 1–9)
Star Jones (1997-2006, season 1–9)
Joy Behar (1997–2013, season 1–16)
Debbie Matenopoulos (1997-1998, season 1-2)
Lisa Ling (1999–2002, season 2–6)
Elisabeth Hasselbeck (2003–2013, season 7–16)
Rosie O’Donnell (moderator, 2006–2007, season 10)
Whoopi Goldberg (moderator, 2007, season 11–present)
Sherri Shepherd (2007, season 11–present)
Jenny McCarthy (2013, season 17–present)

Now that’s an episode I HAVE to DVR. I know they’ll be coming back for Barbara and all, but there’s no telling what might go down between all of these ladies!

Sharon Osbourne Retracts Her Attack on ‘The View’ Ladies

What a difference a day makes!

Sharon Osbourne has put her foot in her mouth again and tis time she is owning up to er verbal diarrhea and issuing an apology to all the ladies at rival show The View. Sharon basically told all the women on the show – except for Barbara Walters – to f*ck themselves. Well, that didn’t go over so well, and now today, she is issuing an apology and begging for forgiveness:

“I’m not well … I’m really just a loose cannon. Unfortunately I was inappropriate and I was trying to be funny at somebody else’s expense.”

She sent out apologies individually to Whoopi Goldberg, Jenny McCarthy, and Sherri Shepherd, so now we don’t have to worry about any of them catching her in the parking lot.

What do you think? Should Sharon have issued an apology or just let the dice roll?

Sound off below.

Oprah vs. Jenny McCarthy?

The media mogul had to hop on her Twitter account to put to rest the rumors that she had a bone to pick with new co-host of The View Jenny McCarthy.

“@JennyMcCarthy don’t have a s–t list If I did you’d never be on it. Wishing you only good fortune, love and light and watching @theview.”
The reason for the admission on Oprah’s account? Jenny McCarthy went on Watch What Happens Live and opined that Oprah was out to get her:
“I would be scared that she would beat me up. I’m sure there’s probably a lot of people on her s–t list. I’m probably number four.”

Jenny McCarthy obviously thinks too high of herself, because Oprah has bigger fish to fry.

But let’s see how long Jenny lasts on The View. So far?

It looks like she’s more than likely on Barbara Walters s—t list.

Jenny McCarthy Joins The View

It’s official! Jenny McCarthy will be one of the official co-hosts on The View this fall, taking the place of Joy Behar who is out of there when her contract ends in August.

Jenny is no newcomer to the show at all. She’s made 17 appearance on the show, eight of them as a guest co-host. It was rumored that she was likely to fill one of the spots now open with both Joy and Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaving.

“Jenny brings us intelligence as well as warmth and humor,” Barbara Walters said in a statement. “She can be serious and outrageous. She has connected with our audience and offers a fresh point of view. Jenny will be a great addition to the show as we usher in an exciting new chapter for The View.”

“I’m beyond thrilled … I look forward to helping make hot topics a little bit hotter, and showing my mom that my interrupting skills have finally paid off,” Jenny added in a statement. She also thanked VH1 for letting her go on the show. She was under contract for her new late-night talk show, The Jenny McCarthy Show, on the network, which I can assume they let her out of. I mean, who says no to Barbara Walters and The View? Only a crazy person.

Jenny will make her first official appearance as co-host on September 9th, the premiere of the 17th season. Good luck to her! She’s definitely funny and opinionated, and should be a good addition to the show.

Elisabeth Hasselback Leaving The View for Fox News

Seems Elisabeth Hasselback is saying deuces to The View and moving on to something a little bit more up her alley! The TV show co-host is leaving The View to join Fox & Friends on the more conservative FOX cable news network in September.

“Elisabeth’s warm and engaging personality made her a star on The View,” Fox News Channel president Roger Ailes said in a statement today. “She has proven to be an excellent conversationalist and I am certain she will make a great addition to our already successful morning franchise.”

“I have been a long-time fan of Fox & Friends and am excited to be joining their team in September as it is an honor to call the Fox News Channel my new television home,” Elisabeth added.

Elisabeth will join regular Fox & Friends presenters Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade in mid-September. Their longtime cohost Gretchen Carlson has inked a deal for her own daytime talk show on the network, to start airing in early fall.

It was already rumored that Elisabeth was leaving back in March, after Joy Behar announced her own departure when her contract runs out in August.

Barbara Walters, who is retiring next year herself and previously denied rumors that Elisabeth was leaving, said in a statement, “We have had ten wonderful years with Elisabeth and she will now be swimming in new waters,” Walters said in a new statement. “We will miss her and wish her everything good.”

I’m sure Elisabeth will do well at Fox. She was always the most conservative of The View ladies anyway. My main question is, though, who’s going to be filling up all these seats on the panel now that half of them are leaving?!

Barbara Walters Is Retiring

This is definitely the end of an era. One of the doyennes of daytime, legendary reporter Barbara Walters, has officially announced her resignation, set for 2014. ABC News, where she has worked for nearly 40 years, made the decision Sunday night.

Walters, who is the host ofbw, will still work there and her occasional side gigs through next summer, but after that it’s lights out on a career that spans countless scandals, several Presidents, and a slew of imitators. Everyone from Katie Couric to Diane Sawyer to Oprah Winfrey owe their careers in part to Walters’ trailblazing.

Who will take over the crown now as one of America’s most trusted reporters?

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Out on ‘The View’?

After years of pleading and praying, it looks like our prayers have finally been answered. This past week, co-host of ‘The View‘ for nearly two decades, Joy Behar, announced that she was leaving the show. Now, less than 48 hours after her announcement comes word that one of her co-workers may be leaving as well. And possibly against her will.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who is the conservative, right-winged voice on the show, may be too right-winged for her own good. Reports are surfacing that polls have been taken and they are not portraying her in a good light, so the network heads may be forcing her out. All of this is hearsay now, but ABC would have to buy out the rest of her contract since she is signed through a few more seasons. Of course, we think ABC should do the right thing and buy her out, but we have no control over such matters. Let’s just hope they don’t fire Hasselback only to replace her with Ann Coulter!

Barbara Walters Talks S&M (VIDEO)

Barbara Walters went on The View yesterday and chatted it up with the ladies about Fifty Shades of Grey, the erotic fiction series that is being referred to as straight up “mama porn”. Let’s just say that there is a side of Babwa that we surely didn’t expect to hear…or want to hear for that matter.

Babs is either a) into kinky sexy time or b) needs to get laid. Let’s just say her co-hosts of The View were floored when Babs got all sexual asking them “Do you like it when he is rough?” She even added “I forgot my whip”.

Babs in latex holding a whip isn’t exactly a vision I want flowing through my mind.

Here’s how it all went down. Of why women are so intrigued by the book Joy Behar said, “Because it’s about bondage. And might I say Barbara, you are looking mighty S&M today.”

Black leather jacket wearing Babs said, “I do. I left my whip. The whole idea of this is that women like us, who work and argue and this and that — when you go home, you want the guy to be in charge and, more than be in charge, do very kinky things.”

When Babs continued on with her sex talk, Elisabeth Hasselbeck wanted to avoid the the discussion until frisky Babs got nosy. “What about you and your husband?” she asked. Hasselbeck responded, “We are on a pregnancy prevention program right now because we have three kids and avoiding a fourth so we do what we do.”

And Babs didn’t even quit there!

“Do you like it when he’s rough?” she finally asked.

“Wow, wow,” said Whoopi Goldberg. “That’s too much.”

Either Babs needs to get laid or she has a sex addiction we all don’t know about.

Whoopi Farts on The View (VIDEO)

Did Whoopi fart on The View this morning? It sure as heck sounded like it.

If you were watching ABC’s The View during the Claire Danes interview segment you may have noticed a resounding big fat frog-like trumpet, heralding an uncomfortable moment for Danes. That was Whoopi Goldberg’s butt.

Carnie Wilson pulled Laxatives prank at Fat Camp

Kirstie to Be Oprah’s Bitch!

Since Oprah announced that she will have her very own network, (set to take the airwaves in 2009) she has been a busy bee tracking down talent. And, apparently, Oprah thinks Kirstie Alley has the goods.

According to a source, the show type that Kirstie would be taking part in has yet to be determined.

Tim Bennett of Harpo states, “We are working forward to working together to bring viewers everywhere her distinctive voice and comedic flair.”

Not sure this is something I would tune into. Kirstie is kind of lame, if you ask me.

Hey, O…I have an idea. What about a “View” spin-off?

Now THAT would be hot.
