Taylor Swift is determined to keep her man, no matter what it takes. And if you have been following the second coming of Mary Kay LeTourneau like I have, you know that nothing but death itself can keep this trick from a man!
Case in point….
According to some well placed sources,Taylor is snatching up the mansion directly next door to her man of the minute, Connor Kennedy. The singer plunked down $4.5 million of her hard earned money to grab a prime piece of real estate in Hyannis Port, Maine to be near her teen love. They’ve only been dating a few months, so this is definitely a serious move on her part, which forces me to ask the questions everyone else is thinking…
what is this pop trick thinking?!
Not only is she flitting around with a barely legal boy, but not just any barely legal boy. No, this one comes equipped with enough baggage to make even real people stutter step. And on top of that, Swift is famous for singing about her little trysts to make some money. Let’s see what she sings about when this one is over.
Before Conor Kennedy, there was One Direction’s Harry Styles. Taylor Swift supposedly had her country croonin’ teeth sunk into Harry for a hot minute but she was left heartbroken after he was busted kissing model Emma Ostilly.
A source told Radaronline.com that back in April Taylor and Harry were getting hot and heave and were going to make it official until he decided to play the field.
“Taylor really liked Harry and even though they weren’t exclusive, he hinted at making it official with her just before he took off to Australia,” the source told RadarOnline.com. “He even told Taylor he didn’t want her to see anybody else while he was gone!”
Shortly into Harry’s trip Down Under, Taylor woke up one morning to confusing text messages from him. “Taylor had all these texts from Harry begging for a chance to explain and telling her not to believe everything she reads,” the insider said. “She immediately googled Harry and found all the stories and pictures of him kissing Emma. She was heartbroken.”
First Joe Jonas, John Mayer, Jake Gyllenhaal and now Harry Styles??!! Girlfriend sure knows how to pick them. It is a damn shame that Kitten Face didn’t stay with cute little pug nosed Taylor Lautner. Perhaps one day they will get back together again unless THAT song was about him?!
At any rate, Conor Kennedy best not screw up because we all know what happens after a breakup from Kitten Face!
The versatile singer-songwriter has recently been named as one of the new faces representing CoverGirl cosmetics. Fans will be able to catch their first official peek at her pictorial spread in the September issue of Vogue. She joins CoverGirls Queen Latifah, Sofia Vergara, Pink, and Taylor Swift. The ‘Tightrope’ singer had this to say about her collaboration with the cosmetics giant:
“Growing up and trying to find myself as a woman and experimenting with makeup, I’d go buy magazines. I’d see Tyra Banks in the CoverGirl ads and I’d think, ‘Wow, she’s beautiful.’ It never looked like she had on too much makeup. There was just something clean and classic about her face. I believe in the idea of every woman finding their own beauty superpowers. I want to help redefine what it means to be a strong woman in the music and fashion worlds.”
It has always rubbed me the wrong way that Janelle Monae has never become a huge star in America. But then again, in this era of mediocrity that we live in currently, she is simply too good for today’s mainstream radio. Hopefully, these ads will give her a bit of of a boost and help her climb to the top of the pop heap where she belongs. Yes, Britney, Ke$ha, et al. I am talking about you!
Continuing her magical, Wonderstruck journey, Taylor Swift returned to the Magnolia Plantation in New Orleans, Louisiana, to shoot the advertising campaign for her second fragrance, Wonderstruck Enchanted, on-counter in September at Macy’s. Working with KraftWorks NYC, Taylor and Elizabeth Arden developed a creative concept which captures the bold and sensual allure of the new fragrance.
Taylor’s concept was brought to life with the assistance of Kara Glynn Productions and set designer Thomas Thurnauer at the Magnet Agency, who turned the plantation’s time-worn conservatory into an enchanting sanctuary – a world of lush ferns and crimson sofas.
Taylor and stylist Joseph Cassell selected a sweeping crimson gown, designed by Monique Lhuillier, and she and hair stylist Jemma Muradian created an effortless look by setting her hair in soft, natural curls.
As Taylor told People.com, “I love the look of my Wonderstruck Enchanted ad! I’m wearing this amazing red gown that I loved as soon as I put it on. It’s a classic look, and that’s been my recent style obsession. Anything classic and timeless.”
Taylor Swift made Swiftees (or whatever it is they call themselves) pee their pants after she premiered her new single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” during a live web chat.
Swift teamed up with bosses at Google+ and YouTube for the question and answer session with a select group of fans in Nashville, Tennessee, and peeps on the internets got to see the broadcast live.
It was a 25 minute chat where Kitten Face spoke about her life and career, but it was the premiere of her new single that had peeps freaking.
She told fans, “There’s something I really, really, really wanna do. I have a new single that I really wanna premiere officially right now if that’s cool with you guys.”
Swift then added, “I really wanna say thank you to everyone at Google and everyone at YouTube for doing this… this is crazy and wonderful so thank you for setting all this up. This is the new single and this is a really, really romantic song. It’s really touching and sensitive and it’s a really romantic song that’s to my lovely ex-boyfriend. It’s called We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together and I hope you like it.”
And from what I hear, Swift’s fans have been downloading this song like crazy and according to Billboard, the first single off Swift’s fourth album, “Red,”could sell 450,000 to 500,000 downloads by the end of the week, which would make the song THE biggest debut for a digital song by a female artist.
To paraphrase Whoopi Goldberg in Ghost… You in danger, girl!”
Now that the media has finally narrowed down who the pop singer is poppin’ in the Kennedy clan, there has been speculation that Taylor may want to think twice before she dives headfirst into the Kennedy family. I would like to take this moment to remind Taylor about those other women the Kennedys have been with and how they have fared. Can you say Marilyn Monroe? Can you say Chappaqidick? Fancy a private airplane ride?
On second thought…
Go ahead and date all the goddamn Kennedys you want, Taylor. Who knows? Maybe you may be one of the few women that survives the Kennedy curse. If you can survive Kanye and flat irons, perhaps you can survive anything. But you might not want to write about anything that happens between you and Conor Kennedy, however. If you’re silenced, how ever will I go on with my life knowing that I will never again hear another whiney, heartfelt, gut-wrenching song of such epic emotional depths?
According to reports, you’ve been tricking’ around with Conor for two months now.
John Mayer is now back in the limelight after hibernating after his media madness, you know his open mouth insert foot moments. Surely you remember the sexual napalm comments, the incessant mouth flapping about Jennifer Aniston and his lyrics directed at various women he’s bed in his life.
Well if you recall, Taylor Swift Stood up to Mayer who humiliated her and used her with a song titled “Dear John”. Even though the person was not named in the song lyrics and the “John” in the title was not revealed as an actual man named John, John Mayer took that as a jab at him and he more than likely was correct on that assumption. After hurting Swift, John got a dish of his own medicine with a song penned about him. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, Mayer said that the song “really humiliated” him and “made me feel terrible”. He also made a jab at Swift’s skills calling “Dear John” “cheap songwriting.”
The lyrics, if you recall, are as follows:
Dear John, I see it all, now it was wrong Don’t you think 19 is too young to be played by your dark twisted games, when I loved you so? I should’ve known All the girls that you run dry with tired, lifeless eyes cause you burned them out But I took your matches before fire could catch me, so don’t look now: I’m shining like fireworks over your sad, empty town
And from what it sounds like, John was surprised to have a girl stand up to him. He added, “I was really caught off-guard, and it really humiliated me at a time when I’d already been dressed down. I mean, how would you feel if, at the lowest you’ve ever been, someone kicked you even lower?”
Anyone hear that? It’s the world’s smallest violin strumming in the background.
Well my friends, the inevitable has happened. Sweet and innocent Taylor Swift may have met her match. Christian boy Tim Tebow. Mmmhmm. It appears a romance may be brewing between Kitten Face and the Broncos quarterback.
Tebow was the toast of a pre-Oscars bash on Friday night, where he spent some time chatting up Swift. The pair then had dinner Monday night at Toscanova Italian restaurant in Century City, according to the website Clevvertv.com.
“After dinner, he walked her out,” a source told the website, adding that it was unclear whether the get-together was a date. “Then he walked back in to join two other people. I think they may both have been with their agents.”
Now while I could totally believe that this may last more than a hot minute, I must say good job Kitten Face for choosing someone other than a douchebag. Jake Gyllenhaal and John Mayer and Joe Jonas were definitely not going to cut it.
The rumors that Tay was playing kissy face with Zac Efron were cute, but this just makes more sense.
Although I love Taylor Swift and her naivete, I always gulp hard for the next guy because they will be the next victim of a song by her that will probably sell millions of copies.
Taylor Swift and Zac Efron make an exclusive joint appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday, February 21st to chat about the animated film “Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.” Ellen talks with Taylor and Zac about the rumor they are dating, Zac’s new tattoo and how they spent Valentine’s Day. Plus, tune-in to see Taylor and Zac perform an acoustic duet they especially wrote for Ellen.
ON BEING A COUPLE:
Ellen: Since you’re a couple you will tell me…
Taylor: We are not a couple. He’s awesome, we are not a couple though. You hear people get together when they’re shooting movies, co-stars. But not like animated co-stars. You know what I’m saying.
Zac: Yeah (laughing)
Taylor: Oh my god, as we were recording out voiceovers on separate coasts we really connected.
Ellen: Alright we’ll talk about the fact that you’re a couple later..
ON WEARING HIS ELLEN UNDERWEAR WHILE GETTING A TATTOO:
Ellen: You’re wearing my underwear getting a tattoo.
Zac: You gave those to me personally.
Ellen: I did and what I want to know is…Did someone take a picture of you? (Ellen shows photo of Zac getting his tattoo) Obviously, you’re kind of posing for it.
Zac: Clearly I’m in pain. I looked down and saw your name on my underwear and I said man, I got to get a tattoo.
Ellen: So it says Ellen right there (on his arm) you’re getting my name put on you..
Zac: That’s what I’m getting…
Ellen: That is fantastic.
ON HOW TAYLOR AND ZAC SPENT VALENTINE’S DAY:
Ellen: So what did you all do for Valentine’s Day together?
Taylor: He had plans on Valentine’s Day.
Ellen: What did you do?
Taylor: I actually had a pathetic single girls party. It was cool. That’s actually what it was called. I’m not saying that being single is pathetic. We’ve talked about this. I think it’s awesome. I had all my single girlfriends over and we ate junk food and just ate what ever we wanted and danced. We made these little profile cards about why we’re single.
Zac: That’s so different then what single guys do.
Ellen: What did you do for Valentine’s Day?
Zac: I went to a screening of a film that I did called “Liberal Arts.” Then cooked some dinner.
Ellen: With who?
Zac: A friend.
Ellen: What’s her name?
Ellen: That’s right we’re together. Ok, finally the truth comes out.
Taylor Swift has released the video for “Safe and Sound”, her single from “The Hunger Games” movie soundtrack, which also features Grammy award winning duo The Civil Wars. Does Kitten Face ever take a break? Girlfriend just keeps cranking out the hits. Get it, gurl!
So why did Kitten decide to work on The Hunger Games soundtrack? There IS a reason, you know, and it’s not always about the money. Tay told MTV, “When I got the call, I thought from what I’d heard about the movie, ‘It’s an action movie, right? We’re probably going to be writing a song that’s like, “We’re going to win”. And then I read the book, and I thought, ‘No, we’re going to have to write sort of a death lullaby, it’s so different from what I thought.’”
Swift also shared that she read all three books in The Hunger Games trilogy in TWO days and “fell in love with the characters”. I just started the first book and I must say I am already hooked!
Check out Kitten Face’s video for Safe and Sound below!
Taylor Swift covers Vogue magazine for what I believe is promotion for the new album that hasn’t even been finished yet because I’m pretty sure it’s been started. In the interview you bet your booty she talks about love and what she’s most used to…heartbreak and yes, her next album will indeed be about what she knows. No, seriously. She confirms it by saying, “There’s just been this earth-shattering, not recent, but absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak. and that will turn out to be what the next album is about. The only way that I can feel better about myself—pull myself out of that awful pain of losing someone—is writing songs about it to get some sort of clarity.” Shocking, right?
So who could this upcoming album be about? Hmmm, there is only really one guy (not so recent) who she carried on an actual romance with. Ahem. That’s right, Jake Gyllenhaal. I’m guessing this one’s for you.
Taylor Swift just released the debut single from The Hunger Games soundtrack, called “Safe and Sound.” I know it’s a long time before we get to see the actual flick (March 23rd, to be exact), but we get to get to get this song in our heads until then.
The song is sung by Swift and features The Civil Wars “Safe & Sound” and is produced by T Bone Burnett.
