Steven Tyler Could Have Sniffed Lindsay Lohan For Less

The frontman for Aerosmith has always been rather frank about his past troubles with drug use, but now he is getting even more specific, more detailed, and all we’ve got to say about this is…

We were born in the wrong decade?!

Because, as Tyler so blazingly puts it, he ‘snorted half of Peru’. In the upcoming edition of ’60 Minutes’, he chronicles his bouts with drug addiction and the trials and tribulations of being a rock and roll performer. So how much did he really spend on blow?

“Probably, realistically, 5 or 6 (million), easy,” he revealed. “But it doesn’t matter. But, you know, it’s what we did.”

Tyler cleaned up his act at the height of the coke craze in the mid-80s, but cocaine is a helluva drug and he relapsed. He recovered again only to become addicted to prescription drugs in the mid-2000s as he battled hepatitis C. He went back to rehab in 2009 and claims to currently be on the rehab wagon.

We could name about fifteen stars right off the top of our heads he needs to pick up and strap on to said wagon!

Nicki Minaj Is Not Just Fighting With Mariah Carey

Nicki Minaj not only had a bone to pick with Mariah Carey, but while she is on a rant that won’t quit, she’s kicking her sharp stiletto right into the crotch of Steven Tyler. As you can imagine, Mr. Tyler wasn’t a fan of the supposed backstage drama that went down between Mariah Carey and Miss Minaj.

Tyler was quoted as telling MTV News, “I know that they’ve got something going on on the judges’ panel, [and] it shouldn’t be that, it should be just the opposite: They should have something going on, which is called ‘camaraderie,'” he said. “… It needs to be judged by people that [are] honest, true, that have the ‘it’ factor. Not the ‘it’ factor because they can fight.”

Sure all judges from these talent based reality shows have their own way of judging and Tyler strongly believes that the contestants deserve to be nurtured. “You just have to give your opinion … These kids, they just got out of a car from the Midwest somewhere and they’re in New York City, they’re scared to death,” he told MTV. “If it was Bob Dylan, Nicki Minaj would have had him sent to the cornfield! Whereas, if it was Bob Dylan with us, we would have brought the best of him out, as we did with Phillip Phillips.”

Of course, Minaj is taking Tyler’s comments as a direct hit to her cooter and took to her Twitter to call RACISM!!!

CONFIRMED: Steven Tyler Leaving American Idol

Steven Tyler is leaving American Idol! Celebrity VIP Lounge has confirmed that Steven has decided to depart his role as a judge on AMERICAN IDOL, leaving behind Jennifer Lopez and crew.

Steven said, “After some long……hard……thoughts…I’ve decided it’s time for me to let go of my mistress ‘American Idol’ before she boils my rabbit. I strayed from my first love, AEROSMITH, and I’m back–but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my band. The next few years are going to be dedicated to kicking some serious ass–the ultimate in auditory takeover… On Nov 6, we are unleashing our new album, Music from Another Dimension on the Earth, Moon, Mars, and way beyond the stars…’Idol’ was over the top fun, and I loved every minute of it…Now it’s time to bring Rock Back. ERMAHGERD.”

Even though Tyler won’t be back, it doesn’t change the fact that he is going to be missed.

“It’s been a tremendous honor to have Steven–one of the most prolific artists in the world–on AMERICAN IDOL for the past two seasons,” said Mike Darnell, President of Alternative Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. “He’s been a terrific judge, a true friend and great mentor to everyone involved with the show, and we know he’ll continue to be a huge inspiration to IDOL hopefuls for years to come. We are very sad that Steven has chosen to focus more on his music, but we always knew when we hired a rock ’n’ roll legend, he would go back to the music. We all wish him all the best and would love to have him back on the show anytime.”

“Steven Tyler is a real ‘Idol,’ a rock legend. If you had told me 10 years ago he would be a judge on AMERICAN IDOL, I would have thought it impossible,” stated IDOL creator and executive producer Simon Fuller. “The fact that this became a reality and we had the pleasure of him gracing our stage for two seasons makes me very proud. I completely understand his desire to get back to his life as the singer in America’s greatest-ever rock band. AMERICAN IDOL will miss him!”

“We’re all very thankful and privileged that Steven joined AMERICAN IDOL two years ago,” said Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO, FremantleMedia. “A true music icon, he not only brought rock ’n’ roll to the show, but also his exceptional taste in spotting and nurturing undiscovered talent. We will sincerely miss his poetic phrases, his remarkable creativity and his unique spirit. We’re sad about his departure from the show, but understand his decision to return to music full-time and hope he’ll be back to grace the AMERICAN IDOL stage in seasons to come.”

I, too, will miss Steven Tyler as Idol judge. Now comes the big question…who will replace him?

Quote of the Day: Steven Tyler

“I don’t know [why people complained]. As I said before, I put emphasis on, ‘In the land of the free’ and I went up. Oddly enough I hit the note so I don’t know what they are talking about. I emphasised ‘free’ which was for freedom. It was well thought out prior to. I wasn’t messing with American tradition.”
