FIRST LISTEN: Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston’s Duet “Celebrate” Premieres!


You can now check out the premiere of Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks new song Celebrate. The track, written by R. Kelly, was the LAST song that Whit recorded before she passed AND will be featured on their upcoming film “Sparkle” set to hit theaters on August 17th.

The film also stars Derek Luke, Carmen Ejogo, Tika Sumpter, Cee Lo Green and Mike Epps.

In case you missed it, Jordin paid tribute to her Sparkle co-star at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards by singing a beautiful rendition of “I Will Always Love You”.

BEHIND-THE-SCENES: Whitney Houston In “Sparkle” (VIDEO)

We have a sneak peek look at Whitney Houston in Sparkle in some never before seen footage that showcases the diva’s talent and proof that her voice was still intact.

Whitney is shown in the below clip singing on set along with co-star Jordin Sparks. She even belts out a few bars from “His Eye Is On The Sparrow”.

Sparks sat down with Essence magazine and shared what it was like to work with the legendary superstar. Jordin said, “She was amazing and she was so kind to me. I will never forget that. I got really lucky to see her on something she was so passionate about.”

Even though she is gone, this final film is sure to leave us all with some happy memories of Whitney. There is no doubt in my mind that her legacy will live on through her music and the arts in general.

Sparkle is due out in theaters on August 17th.

Whitney Houston to make movie return in Sparkle?

Oh how I long for those days of talented, clean and fresh-faced Whitney Houston. The past few years have been rough for Whitney with that whole destructive relationship with Bobby Brown and the drugs indulgence but rumor has it that Whit is in talks to make a big screen comeback.

The plan? A reboot of the 1976 musical movie Sparkle.
