Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

Jay-Z and Beyonce and Solange Release Statement About Elevator Incident

So by now, you have all heard about the Bey-Jay and Solange elevator incident. Well, finally after the said drama, Instagram photo deletions and the silent treatment from all parties, the trio is FINALLY speaking out. And the good news is, they are moving on and want you all to as well…anything to avoid a drama fest.

They released the following “joint” statement, “As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family.”

“The reports of Solange being intoxicated or displaying erratic behavior throughout that evening are simply false,” the statement continued. “At the end of the day families have problems and we’re no different. We love each other and above all we are family. We’ve put this behind us and hope everyone else will do the same.”

Well, that’s good to know. I have a feeling there was something pretty major to happen that set Solange off though. Oh to be a fly on THAT wall.

Solange Sings Soulfully in Suds: Performs at Laundromat

Yes, I said laundromat.

This summer, vitaminwater has again partnered with The FADER to present #uncapped: a series of transformational musical events. Dedicated to making boring Mondays more brilliant, this year’s series promises fans intimate listening sessions taking place in traditionally mundane locations throughout New York City, including an auto body shop, a bank and an office space.

The concert series continued Monday, July 29th, with a live performance Solange and DJ Justin Strauss in a Brooklyn laundromat! Guests flipped through issues of The Fader and sipped on vitaminwater while listening to the beats of Justin Strauss (a veteran DJ with 3 decades of NYC nightclub experience including Limelight, Area, Tunnel and Life) before the fashionable songstress hit the stage. Solange belted out her hits including Losing You, Lovers in the Parking Lot, Bad Girls, and even a snippet of a cover of Nivea’s Laundromat as a nod to her surprise venue….while dancing atop a dryer.

Check out Solange do her thang on a dryer below.

Solange Shows Off Her Swagger During Late Night At Arlyn Studios Concert Series

Solange is getting it in on her own. Surely her last name got her in the game, but girlfriend is proving to be the real deal. We got word that Nokia Music and Verizon launched the Late Night at Arlyn Studios Concert Series last night at Raptor House in Austin, TX with an intimate performance by Solange who brought the room to their feet turning the legendary studio into a dance floor. Now that sounds like Solange brought down the house! Go girl!

The forty-five minute set included her latest single, “Losing You” from her EP:True, with collaborator Dev Hynes. True is reflective of her journey as an artist, bringing listeners a fresh new sound, “with a breezy fusion of singer-centric R&B, 1980’s pop, and lanky mid-tempo hip-house beasts,” as described by Spin Magazine.

Nokia will also present the Roc Nation at Raptor House Concert Series in Austin, Texas from March 11th – March 14th. As mobile partner, Nokia has joined forces with Roc Nation and Raptor House to curate a diverse lineup of music programming to coincide with the festival. Jim Pallotta’s Raptor Group has taken over the historic Arlyn Studios in Austin, TX March 8th – March 13th and transformed the property into the “Raptor House”. Raptor House is the perfect “invite only” place to chill and relax in-between conferences and showcases.

The concert series will feature live performances that will take place through out the week from Haim, Caveman, Body Parts, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, The Mowgli’s, The Postelles, Wardell, Vacationer, Kan Wa Kan, The Lone Bellow, Carousel, Elle King, The Blank Tapes, Maeyani, The Well Spring, and more.
