Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg Snag Reality Show

Is television ready for Jenny McCarthy and Donnie Wahlberg together? We’re going to have to be, because the couple just snagged a reality show!

The newlyweds will appear in an unscripted series, titled Donnie Loves Jenny, as a part of a 10-episode reality show deal with A&E (which is also network to Wahlburgers, a show about Donnie’s family and their restaurant). The show will follow them in their new journey as husband and wife–the good, the bad, and the downright ugly.

Jenny and Donnie released a statement saying:

“Not only have we found a new home together, we have found the perfect place for our exciting new projects to live with A&E Network. We’re so excited about this deal and look forward to a long and successful relationship creating entertaining and provocative unscripted programming with our partners at A&E. Our feeling is, who better to make our first show for the network about than about us? We love working together and with our crazy schedules this gives us the chance to both work and play together.”

The two will serve as co-producers, and their premiere episode features scenes from their August wedding at the Hotel Baker near Chicago!

Good for them! I might just have to tune in!

The New Cast of The Celebrity Apprentice is Revealed!

Another season of celebrity firings is coming! Donald Trump confirmed the cast of the seventh season of  The Celebrity Apprentice on the Today show!

The cast actually had me a little excited! It includes  Kate Plus 8’s Kate Gosselin, The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kenya Moore, as well as The Real Housewives of Beverly HillsBrandi Glanville, so the drama will definitely be heavy! according to Us Weekly, the other competitors are  Olympic snowboarder Jamie Anderson, World Series-winning baseball player Johnny Damon, actress Vivica A. Fox, TV and radio host Leeza Gibbons, comedian Gilbert Gottfried, Deadliest Catch star Sig Hansen, the Jonas Brothers’ Kevin Jonas, Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, soap star Lorenzo Lamas, famed NFL player Terrell Owens, The Cosby Show vet Keshia Knight Pulliam, reporter and television personality Geraldo Rivera, and Sharknado actor and Beverly Hills, 90210 alum Ian Ziering.

“This season of The Celebrity Apprentice is on point to be the best yet,” Donald said in a release. “With 16 extraordinary contestants bringing their energy to the boardroom, it is sure to be a hit, as always.” The late Joan Rivers will also make an appearance in the boardroom. She filmed two episodes of the show as an advisor before she passed away in September.

I never watch Celebrity Apprentice to be honest, but with this cast, I might just have to tune in! I especially want to see how the Queen of Twirl, Kenya Moore, fits in. She has her own production company, so she knows a thing or two about business, but she is messy! More drama for us!

Bethenny Frankel Returning to Real Housewives of New York City

Confirmed: Bethenny Frankel is coming back to the Real Housewives of New York City for the show’s seventh season!

“I’m genuinely excited, with a side of slightly nervous, for my return to The Real Housewives of New York City,” Bethenny said in a statement to E! News. “Bravo has always been the place on television where I have the freedom to be unfiltered, honest and inappropriate, with an audience who has been with me from the beginning. I can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings for all of us. Watch what happens!”

Bravo’s own Andy Cohen expressed excitement for Bethenny’s return as well.  “Bethenny is one of the most popular Housewives in the history of the franchise, and I couldn’t be more excited she is coming home to Bravo,” he shared in a statement.

Carole Radziwill, Heather Thomson,Kristen Taekman, LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer have all signed on for another season as well.

I like Bethenny all right, but I think she’s just in need of something to do to make sure she stays relevant after the cancellation of her talk show. Here’s hoping that she’s able to fit back in with the group.

Christina Milian Lands Reality TV Show on E!

Christina Milian is officially part of the E! family! The network announced that the singer will have her own reality TV show, which will document the recording of her upcoming album.

The network announced:

“It’s always been non-stop for Christina who has been working as an entertainer since she was a kid, but with some recent events like a newly broken off engagement, her life has become even more complicated. She is an artist under Lil Wayne’s Young Money Label and working on another studio album with Wayne, who is currently touring with Drake. With these new professional commitments and as a mom, Christina constantly strives to find the balance she so desperately wants between family and career especially when her days are split between New York, LA and Miami. Whether this multi-talented artist is lending her musical expertise as the social correspondent on the hit series “The Voice” or a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars,” this powerhouse is really making a push to re-brand herself as edgy and modern and turning up her career to the next level.”

The show, tentatively titled “Christina Milian Turned Up,” is set to air in early 2015.

I can’t say that I’m going to be watching, because I’m not really a big Christina Milian fan. However, it’s definitely a good look for her and her career. She will get to promote her upcoming work and re-brand herself, if she plays her card right. To be connected with a big network like E! is a huge deal, so hopefully she uses the show to her best advantage.

Taylor Swift Reportedly Joins The Voice As Advisor

Taylor Swift has reportedly signed on for a role with The Voice!

The singer will serve as an advisor for the upcoming seventh season of the competition. Like Coldplay singer Chris Martin in the sixth season, Taylor will be advising contestants across all four teams.

Taylor will work alongside coaches Adam LevineBlake SheltonGwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams. Other advisros include the legendary Stevie Wonder (who is working with Adam), Gavin Rossdale (working with wife Gwen), Little Big Town (working with Blake), and Alicia Keys (working with Pharrell).

Taylor has been in the industry for a little while, and has had a great amount of success and impact, so it makes sense that she would be a guest mentor. I’m sure she will have great advice for the contestants.

Derek Hough Snags Role on ABC’s Nashville

Looks like Derek Hough is branching out! The Dancing with the Stars professional will join hit ABC show Nashville in its upcoming season for several episodes!

According to PEOPLE, Derek will play Noah West, a movie star who gets a leading role in the biopic of a famous country singer, interacting with a lot of the characters on the show. And, apparently, the guy is a sneak! ABC says the role requires him to play a “beguiling and disarming” guy.

Derek tweeted his excitement:

I absolutely LOVE the storylines, characters, and music of Nashville. Excited to see what Derek’s storyline brings to the table! Since he’s probably a bad boy, I’m sure he’ll bring the drama!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy Done with Dancing With The Stars

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is officially done with dancing! During his appearance on The View on July 29, the dancer announced he will no longer perform on ABC’s hit dancing competition, Dancing With the Stars!

“I’m done dancing,” he said on the daytime talk show. “I feel like it’s time.” Maks continued, explaining his decision, “When I came back to the show, it was not the same—I was different, probably. (He first left in February 2013 after season 16.) “When I came back, I saw this amazing talent…I looked at it and thought they can do much more and better. I was taking up a huge spot.”

This year, he returned for season 18, and took home the Mirrorball trophy for the first time with Olympic ice skater Meryl Davis. After his win, Maks first hinted that he was ready to leave the competition behind for good during an interview with Social Life magazine. “I want Meryl to be the last person I dance with,” he said in June. “The last person I got to be passionate with and care so much for.” The dancer apparently discussed plans to start a family, too. “I raised so many children at the studio that I am ready to create one of my own,” he told the mag. “I am really ready to have a family now. I need an outlet. I have so much I want to give, and I need someone to give it to.

Maks first appeared on DWTS in its second season, dancing with some top stars like boxer Laila Ali, the Spice Girls’ Mel B., and singer Brandy. I don’t blame him for wanting to move on to something new. He has his Mirrorball now. It’s time to move on to the next adventure!

Shia LaBeouf Arrested After Disorderly Conduct at Broadway Show

More trouble for Shia LaBeouf! Turns out the actor was really rowdy at a Broadway show in New York City, eventually getting handcuffed, escorted out, and charged with disorderly conduct!

Shia was reportedly disruptive during a production of Cabaret in the city on June 26. A source at the show said he was “harassing audience members, harassing actors on the stage, and chain smoking inside the theater,” during the first act. “Shia seemed out of sorts,” another source said. “He was interacting with strangers during the show and slapping peoples’ backsides. He was trying to avoid the police and fell. Then he was cursing at the police while being taken into custody.” His misbehavior got him escorted out by NYPD during intermission. Sadly, I can see this whole scene so clearly in my head.

According to Broadway World, bystanders on the street where Shia left say the actor was “in tears when taken away by police.”

An NYPD spokesperson later told Us Weekly that Shia “has been charged with disorderly conduct. He was also charged with criminal trespass. While at Studio 54 he was upsetting patrons, being loud and yelling. He’ll be jailed. There will be a court appearance for this matter.”

Who does this?! I feel bad, but then again I don’t. It’s obvious that something is going on with him, and he needs to work it out. To me, Shia has always been talented (and cute when he’s cleaned up), and I hate that another actor’s talent is seeming to go down the drain. Hopefully, he gets himself together soon! I’m not sure what’s going to happen now that he’s officially been charged. He might just get off, but who knows? Maybe some jail time will straighten him out a little bit.

Sherri Shepherd Leaving The View, Jenny McCarthy Might Be Rolling Out Too!

It’s official! This will be the last season of The View for Sherri Shepherd. The co-host announced that she will be leaving the talk show after 7 years.

“It’s been seven wonderful years on The View and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on,” Sherri said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

Jenny McCarthy, who’s only been on the show for one season, responded to the news with some tweets that implied she might be leaving herself pretty soon.

TMZ has suggested that both Sherri and Jenny (if she really is leaving), are not going voluntarily, but had been fired due to ratings and personality conflicts. The site also said that Bill Geddie, the executive producer, would not be returning to the show either. An anonymous source told Entertainment Weekly that Sherri might just be replaced by a male co-host next fall. A statement from ABC did not make the firing rumors any better. “’The View’ will be moving in an exciting new direction next season and ABC has made decisions to evolve the show creatively,” the network said, according to Huffington Post.

This change to the lineup would leave Whoopi Goldberg as the sole host of the show, since Barbara Walters is retiring after this season. ABC is really going to have to work to find some great new faces. I would say it’s time to hang up the hat on the show, but I still think the concept of the show is and always has been great. Bringing together hosts with different views  to discuss hot topics in the world, whether politics, world events, or pop culture, has really worked for the show. That’s why other talk shows have been created along the same line. Hopefully, ABC is able to bring together a good lineup!

MTV Is Bringing Back TRL for One Night, Featuring Ariana Grande

One night only! In a 30 minute special, MTV is bringing back the now defunct music video countdown show Total Request Live (TRL) only for one day.

The network announced that it will feature the 30-minute special with Ariana Grande, renaming it Total Ariana Live. The special is set to air July 2 at 7 p.m. ET, and will be available on demand after the broadcast.

Total Ariana Live will be seen live from MTV’s Time Square studio, with Sway Calloway serving as host. Ariana, who just turned 21 today (Happy birthday girl!), will perform her hit song, “Problem,” as well as debut her upcoming single, “Break Free.” The singer will also be tested of her hip-hop knowledge in a “Hip Hop Mix Up” game. MTV also promises that there will be a surprise announcement (maybe the actual return of TRL?! Or is that wishful thinking?).

“It’s a huge honor to be able to bring back a show like ‘TRL,’ I used to love watching it growing up. Can’t wait to celebrate with my loves in Times Square. Might have some surprises too,” Ariana said in a statement. “Only one artist has the power to turn the lights back on at 1515 Broadway in the iconic ‘TRL’ studios, and that’s Ariana Grande. The transformation to ‘Total Ariana Live’ represents her one-of-a-kind star power combined with MTV’s immense multimedia platform, setting the stage for the ultimate global partnership,” said Charlie Walk, executive vp Republic Records, to which Ariana is signed.

The original TRL ran from 1998-2008, airing 2,247 episodes during its run. Back when MTV was known more for music than reality TV, the show aired the top 10 most-requested music videos for viewers, and featured awesome interviews with top artists, actors, and more!

I really think that MTV ought to bring this show back! It is, however, great promotion for Ariana, whose sophomore album is in the works. To be featured on something like this with all eyes on you is definitely a good look!
