Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

American Horror Story Renewed for Fourth Season

Great news for all AHS fans, American Horror Story has been renewed for a fourth season by FX!

And, to add an extra dash of happy, Jessica Lange is set to return as well. Namely due to the fact that her contract with the show goes through 2014. I’ll just remain willfully ignorant of the fact that Lange has all but said she won’t be returning once her contract expires. I prefer to stay in happy-land.

The news that the series has been renewed isn’t all that surprising, especially considering the show’s ratings- this season in particular. As it stands, Ryan Murphy’s AHS is on its way to becoming FX’s highest rated series ever among the coveted demographic of adults 18-34. AHS Coven has surpassed previous season ratings in each episode so far, with episode 5 airing tonight, with total viewers up 77% this season.

Of the renewal, CEO of FX Networks John Landgraf says, “Every year they create a riveting and brilliant new miniseries. American Horror Story Coven is the best yet and I have no doubt that the next installment will be even better.”

AHS Coven airs Wednesdays on FX at 10pm EST.

Dianna Agron not Invited to Glee Tribute Episode?

Apparently, there’s no love lost for Dianna Agron on the set of Glee. The former cast mate was snubbed (aka: not invited) to the show’s tribute episode, dedicated to the late Cory Monteith, and now, according to a “high-level source” from the show, the answer is simple.

They just don’t like her.

“It’s shocking, because even though she’s not contracted for this season, many other actors returned to pay tribute to Cory..even the ones with less of a story connection to Finn than Dianna [sic] had,” the source told RadarOnline.

He’s referring to the fact that Agron’s character once played Finn’s girlfriend on the show, making the fact that she was left out of the tribute episode all the more strange.

So what’s the problem?

That same source says that Monteith’s girlfriend, Lea Michele, along with the show’s co-creator, Ryan Murphy, “intensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalize her as much as possible.”

Something about her not being a “team player” and concern she’d be “sharing the glory for this very special episode.”

Of course, I feel like there’s more to the story than this, because this reasoning seems petty. And, it feels like it’s an unnecessary distraction from a very heartfelt episode. None of the outside noise matters- or rather, it shouldn’t.

‘Glee’ Production Delayed

The sudden and tragic death of actor Corey Monteith has delayed the schedule of Glee as producers and writers of the show figure out how to write his character out of the show. The Fox show has been pushed back Glee-Cast-glee-9252428-600-42917069to September 26th as the season premiere instead of the originally planned September 13th debut.

Creator and writer on the show, Ryan Murphy, has finally answered some of the questions revolving around the moves they are making. When specifically asked about Monteith’s struggles with drug addiction, Murphy had this to say:

“It’s always sad and shocking when somebody so young dies, but one of the things that made it even more upsetting is that so many of us who knew and loved him were actively involved in trying to get him better.”

How will the series handle his passing and his character’s role? You’ll have to catch up with the new season in a few weeks to find out.

American Horror Story Gets Even Classier

Anyone that watches knows that only true thespians can appear on the show. Especially after last season. Sure, season one had some questionable talent on there (we’re not naming names!), but season two came bigger better faster harder and there’s no way in hell any fans will accept anything less for season 3. Series producer Ryan Murphy upped the ante considerably with his recent announcement and just watch as the ratings climb.

Enter Misery.

Enter Dolores Claiborne.

Enter Kathy Bates.

No one knows what the plot is for season 3. No one knows the entire roster yet of all that are returning from seasons 1 and 2, and after this latest announcement, it is probably a safe bet to say that no one cares. If we can get just one scene between Bates and Jessica Lange, we are sold! We smell Emmy after Emmy next season!

American Horror Story: Asylum – Masterpiece Theatre

American Horror Story: Asylum – the latest episode? I have just watched the most enthralling hour of television in recent memory! Jam-packed from start to finish! I feel like I’ve watched every genre from the musical to sci-fi mashed up into a most glorious mix! It was like visual LSD! Four fuckin’ stars, two thumbs up, and give these actors Emmys!!

It’s the only show I watch aside from The Walking Dead. It’s always good but tonight was a masterpiece.

I’m expressly saying this: even if you’ve never watched a single episode ever, this is worth seeing. I’m watching it again it was that good! Riveting!

I feel like I just smoked a joint, did a line, snorted some angel dust , and smoked some bath salts simultaneously! Is rehab in my future?!!!

Jessica Lange was/is amazing and I hope she sticks around for season three. Really, a superb cast all around. Pepper stole the show for a few minutes, even. I’m glad that Ryan Murphy is writing less for the show this year. It certainly shows! I don’t want to give anything away, but go watch it, come back here and let CelebrityVIPLounge know what you think. I promise you will not be disappointed. Or your money back!

Dylan McDermott Returning to American Horror Story

Ryan Murphy has saved the day once again. Not only has he signed Adam Levine (Maroon 5) for the second season of American Horror Story, but also recently announced is that first season cast member Dylan McDermott will be returning to the second season.

Ryan Murphy is the producer of the show and via his Twitter account he let it be known that McDermott would indeed be returning. What’s unknown now is in what capacity and for how many episodes.

In other casting news on the show, Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family), who played a mental patient in season one, is slated to return to the series in season two as well.
Now, if they could just snag Connie Britton off of Nashville for a minute so she could do this season as well. This is my favorite show on television right now and if you are not watching it, you are sorely missing out! And if Murphy does not include a scene with Adam Levine and Dylan McDermott naked, we will all be upset!

Glee’s Ryan Murphy is writing a musical for Gwyneth Paltrow

Gywneth Paltrow to get her own musical? That’s the latest. I know I about choked on my coffee. But apparently Ryan Murphy has that much desire to work with Goop again. Apparently Glee isn’t keeping him busy enough.

So, is Gwyneth not going to make movies anymore or is she all about the music now just because we know she can kinda sing?
