Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

Scott Foley Talks About His Shirtless Scenes In Redbook’s December/January Issue

scott-foley

Redbook features an interview with Scott Foley where the handsome actor talks about whether he thinks Scandal stuff happens in the White House, being a dad and taking his shirt off for the camera. Ow, ow! Check out the highlights below.

Scott Foley on whether he thinks Scandal-esque stuff really goes on at the White House:
“Oh God, I hope so. Obviously, we’re adding an inordinate amount of drama to somewhat realistic situations, but I think there are secret meetings and possibly organizations that no one knows about doing things that can’t be done in the public eye.”

On feeling like an old pro when it comes to being a dad (he and his wife are expecting baby number three):
“We all learn and make it up as we go along. I’ve gotten more patient and less selfish. The other day, my daughter woke up at 5:30AM on a weekend and was like, “Dad, I want some milk.” So I got out of bed, warmed some milk in the microwave, and thought ‘I’m a good father – even though I’ve got my kid in front of the TV.’ It’s a job that never stops. I haven’t slept in years.”

On how he’s gotten better looking with age:
“I have no idea, but thank you! When Shonda Rhimes tells you to take your shirt off and 12 million people are going to see it Thursday night, you’re going to lose a little weight, so that’ll do it. I’ve always thought that 45 to 55 is a great time for guys: Your body has filled out. Your face doesn’t look old, but you’re weathered enough to look like you know what you’re talking about.”

On always being cast as ‘the other guy’:
“I think in reality you never want to be the other guy; but as an actor, a love triangle is instant drama, and it’s fantastic.”

Channing Tatum Says He’s With His Wife Because She Is Sexy

We all know Channing Tatum is sexy and it’s obvious there are many women out there who are hardcore jealous of his wife Jenna Dewan. So what does Tatum have to say about his wife, her love scenes and their first real kiss? Quotes from Redbook below if you so dare decide you’d like to cry a little bit more because you never got to fulfill your dreams.

Via Redbook:

Channing Tatum on how weird it is to watch his wife, Jenna Dewan-Tatum’s love scenes:
“Yeah, of course. I mean, she’s a very sexy individual which is obviously why I’m with her…there are many reasons! But that is definitely very high on the list. She watches when I do love scenes too, and we’ve had to kind of find our way with it. She’ll cover my eyes and I’ll cover hers. It’s all in good fun.”

On deciding who changes daughter Everly’s diaper via dance battle:
“Dance battles do sort of happen, to be honest. When we wake up in the morning, we put on music, and while Everly’s eating we dance and it just starts to get stupid. Changing the baby is an intermission – but our daughter hates getting her diaper changed, so it’s almost like a break-dancing battle to get it on her. As soon as you lay her down, she’s bridging out of it and doing some jujitsu windmill. It’s pretty intense.”

On this first real kiss with Jenna on the set of Step Up:
“We were basically together on the movie. It’s interesting now, because we can watch it and see; we can go, ‘Oh, wow, that was actually our first real kiss.’ As soon as the movie wrapped, we went back to LA and were together, and together ever since – never broken up. That’s nine years.”

That’s a freakin’ century in the celebrity world! Wowsers.

Helen Mirren Cuts Her Own Hair

helen-mirren

She turns 69 this summer, looking absurdly fresh-faced and beautiful. Helen Mirren told Redbook about cutting her own hair, red lipstick and feeling inferior around French women.

Check out the highlights below.

Via Redbook:

Helen Mirren on her daily beauty routine:
“I wear makeup every day. I love putting it on, and I get really into it: a little bit of this here, and little bit of that there… But then I stand back and look into the mirror and it’s awful! So I take it all off because I’ve gotten too anal about it. It’s absolutely true that as you get older, you have to wear less and less makeup. You can get away with naked eyes if you’ve got red lips. Or red lips and sunglasses.”

On her new film, The Hundred-Foot Journey and playing celebrated French chef, Madame Mallory who never had a hair out of place:
“Oh, God, she’s so not close to me. As a Brit, we’ve always looked to the French and [wondered], Why do they never look untidy? We’ve got a terrific inferiority complex when it comes to them.”

On the rumor that she cuts her own hair:
“Not always, but yes, I can’t handle going to the hairdresser every six weeks, so I only go about once a year. In between, I get out the scissors and do something, usually rather disastrously. Sometimes I’ll even chop my hair the morning of a big red carpet event.”

Ali Sweeney Covers Redbook’s January Issue

January 2014

On stands December 17th, Redbook’s January issue features Ali Sweeney looking gorgeous, healthy and giving an incredibly candid interview about dieting and body image in Hollywood.

Via Redbook:

How she relates so well to the contestants on The Biggest Loser:

“In an industry like Hollywood, it was really hard to deal with feeling like I was bigger than everyone else. I understand that feeling of being unhappy, looking in the mirror, being embarrassed, and not wanting to ask for help.”

On why the ‘d-word’ makes her cringe:

“Diets are finite. They always have an end and they really set you up to fail when you go back to your life. “

How she allows herself to cheat:

“I’m the first person to give myself an out. I’m a foodie. If I’m someplace where they’re famous for huevos rancheros, I’m ordering them.”

So she may have lost a lot of weight and I really admire her for doing so. I just hope she sticks to what she says. Diets suck and you definitely have to let yourself splurge every once in awhile. Don’t turn into some self-absorbed lettuce nibbling fool. We love you the way you are Ali! Now work!

Kristen Bell Says The Post Baby Weight Obsession Is B.S.

kristen-bell

This month, new mom Kristen Bell glows on the cover of REDBOOK. In the September issue, the House of Lies actress, opens up about on motherhood, her career and the obsession with post-baby weight.

ON NOT OBSESSING ABOUT HER POST BABY WEIGHT:

“I refused to worry about something I could not change, and I still refuse. Look, I’m like any other woman. All this evolved b.s. that I’m telling you is my mantra: It’s not something I practice naturally. I had to surrender to not worrying about the way I looked, how much I weighed, because that’s just part of the journey of having a baby. I am not a woman whose self-worth comes from her dress size.”

ON HAVING A CAREER AFTER BABY:

“I still want a career. Lincoln will always be number one, but I think if you can cut that cord of obsessiveness, then you can work and be a good mother and wife.”

ON WHETHER IT’S HARD BEING AWAY FROM HER NEWBORN FOR WORK:

“I can’t look at her pictures today, because it hurts my feelings. I start wondering what she’s thinking, like Where’s the girl with the blonde hair and the boobs?”

ON THE GORGEOUS PHOTO OF DAX AND HIS FATHER IN HIS HOSPITAL WITH HIS HAND ON HER BELLY:

“I was working on House of Lies in Los Angeles, and Dax had gone home to Detroit to visit his Dad for the weekend, which he’d been doing since his dad had gotten diagnosed with cancer. We finished shooting a day early, and this feeling came over that Dax needed me. So I got on a plane, without telling him, and walked into the hospital room. And sure enough, it had been a bad day and Dax and his dad had gotten some rough news. Two days later, his dad passed away. I was meant to be there.”

Khloe Kardashian Isn’t Desperate For A Baby

khloe-kardashian

This month, Keeping up with the Kardashians star, Khloe Kardashian glows on the cover of REDBOOK. In the June issue, the reality star, and now fashion designer opens up about her pregnancy challenges, married life, and famous family.

Check out the highlights from the interview below.

On sharing her desire to get pregnant with the world:

I do think my difficulty getting pregnant has helped a lot of women. Do I wish people would quit asking me about it 24/7? Yes, but I don’t regret it. I was 26 when that started, and I admit, I didn’t know a lot about my body. It was hard for me to understand what was happening because my mom had six kids and Kourtney got pregnant quickly. People assume I’m desperate for a baby. And yes, I would love to have a baby. But I’m 28, and I’ve been married three and a half years. I love my life, but it doesn’t feel incomplete right now.

On whether she has been diagnosed with a fertility problem:

It’s more about my hormones being off. I was taking hormone shots to stabilize them, and you have to take those shots consistently and they have to be done by a doctor—you can do them yourself, but I couldn’t. And then after your cycle, you have to go to the doctor for ultrasounds and more testing. And if I’m in Miami and miss a treatment, I have to start all over again. It’s a commitment and I don’t mind doing it, but the timing was just off .

On rumors that she resents Kim for being pregnant:

Please. People want to assume that I’m devastated. I couldn’t be happier. I actually got mad at Kourtney, because she was afraid to tell me at first. So I get why people think I’m hurt, because my own sister thought I would be.

On welcoming Kanye West into the family:

I love Kanye. We’ve known him since 2004. He always had a crush on Kim, but she was never into him at the time. I’d always told Kim they were like two peas in a pod, and she would never listen. Then one day she says, “I think I like Kanye.” I was like, “Since when?”
