Check out the third single from legendary sound designer and all-around audiologist, Paul van Dyk! Together with one of the hottest young EDM talents to rise in recent years, Paul van Dyk and Arty have crafted a musical work that is described as iridescent, mesmeric and uber-inviting.
“I met Arty in Russia sometime in 2010 and we talked at that point about making music together,” says PvD. “On ‘The Ocean,’ I was sent over some strings and sequence patterns, which I was really feeling. I then came back in with other elements and it turned into this big back-and-forth mechanism. We both felt very strong about the parts that had gone in and I then took it and began to properly produce it.”
The track, accompanied by mixes by Las Salinas and Eddie Bita, is just as deep and expansive as its title suggests, and is taken from Evolution, PvD’s acclaimed sixth studio album. Watch the video below!

Rock Icon Joe Walsh has premiered “Wrecking Ball”- a new track from his upcoming release, Analog Man, in a new live video. And, starting today, Rolling Stone is offering fans a first chance to hear Analog Man in its entirety BEFORE the album drops next Tuesday (June 5th.)
“It’s been 20 years and I have a lot to say,” said Walsh. “These songs come from the heart.”
Analog Man is the Grammy Award winning rocker’s first solo album in two decades and is described as both modern and timelessly soulful, and packed with Walsh’s beloved wit, charm and chops- delivering an incredibly raw, intimate sound.
Walsh considers himself an Analog Man, referring playfully to the new digital age- an age he’s adapted to, but notes in the song, “I am what I am- I’m an Analog Man.”
The album has been developing over the last 10 years, drawing on personal experiences to breathe life into each track. “I just really feel like it’s all come together and finally I feel like a complete person and a complete musician,” said Walsh. “I think there is some confidence in there that I never had. That’s what I was hiding.”
Take a look and listen to “Wrecking Ball” LIVE below, and be sure to listen to Analog Man HERE on Rolling Stone.
Imagine Dragons recently premiered the video for their single, “It’s Time” on MTV and was even chosen by the network last week as its PUSH artist of the week. The single is the first track off the band’s latest EP, Continued Silence, which hit No. 6 on Soundscan’s Alternative New Artist Albums chart (on iTunes). And it’s good – especially if, like me, you have a soft spot for a kick ass mandolin. Seriously. Take a listen below!
Imagine Dragons’ lead singer Dan Reynolds says of the video, which was shot on a dry lake bed in Barstow, CA, “Any time I hear music, I also see visuals in my mind. ‘It’s Time’ is an emotional song that was written at a very transitional period of my life. I’ve always loved conceptual videos that leave room for the viewer room to interpret it in a way that is most personal to them. That is what we tried to do with this video. The director had a great vision for representing the song’s meaning in a subtle way. We wanted the video to be cinematic and true to the song.”
The band is currently out on the road with The Jezabels throughout April and May, with a number of sold-out shows throughout the country. Don’t miss Imagine Dragons on the road when they come to a city near you!

Britney Spears announces new single will be “Criminal”!
Britney is set to release her FOURTH single from her Femme Fatale album and there are many fans a bit disappointed in her selection. At the VMA’s Britney exclusively revealed to MTV that she has selected “Criminal” as her new single.
Spears confirmed, “I don’t know if I’m at liberty to tell. But I will anyways – it’s ‘Criminal’. Actually the song, when I first heard it, [I thought] ‘It’s really different and [there’s] not anything I’ve heard like this before’. So I really wanted to deliver this song.”
And of course she has a “really cool concept” for the video. She adds, “I was thinking of a really cool concept for the video just to make it interesting. You’ll have to see.”
I’m not a big fan of this one, but either way it IS Britney and I’m sure it will be a success for her either way.
