We all have our own feelings, opinions and rants about Lance Armstrong recently admitting that he DID dope up while he was cycling and yes, while we WON his seven Tour de France titles, but what did the celebrities think? Some celebrities took to Twitter to express their thoughts. Check out a few very interesting (and some humorous) tweets.

A lot of sports journalists were questioning if Oprah had what it takes to thoroughly interview Lance Armstrong. The woman is shredding him.

What do YOU think of Lance Armstrong admitting to Oprah that he did in fact lie about jumping on the dope train?

And well…in case you missed it…

Lance Armstrong Admits All To Oprah

If anyone could get Lance Armstrong to finally admit to doping during his illustrous (and now infamous) career as a world class cyclist, it is Oprah Winfrey. And the 7-time winner of the Tour de France sat down with her in an Austin hotel and finally spilled all. While others have been waiting for this admission for nearly a decade and others were completely shocked by Armstrong finally coming clean, there are alot more questions now than answers possibly after this airing.

According to the interview, Lance Armstrong took performance enhancing drugs for nearly his entire career. Already, the backlash has begun, lawsuits have been filed and re-filed, and medals have been snatched away.

So now that Armstrong has come clean and admitted to suing people he shouldn’t have just to save face, is he now going to give back that money? According to some reports, the statute of limitations have run out on alot of the cases and some of them are soon to close. For everyone else that he cheated, he might want to go hide away in a dark secluded island until he passes away, because he’s a millionaire many times over now and he may get to keep it all. What does this say about this age that we live in, folks?

Sound off!!

Lance Armstrong Will Address Doping Scandal in Oprah’s Next Chapter

It’s been in the news this week that disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong has been contemplating a public confession regarding his suspected use of performance-enhancing drugs and blood transfusions during his long-standing career. And now, Oprah Winfrey has announced that she has snagged an exclusive, “no-holds-barred interview,” according to her website.

In the Jan. 17 episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter, taped at the athlete’s home in Austin, Tex., Lance “will address the alleged doping scandal, years of accusations of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career,” the site reveals.

The cyclist was recently stripped of all of his Tour de France winner titles and lucrative endorsements and banned for life from cycling by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency and the World Anti-Doping Agency. Lance has denied all of these charges, but the New York Times, citing anonymous sources, has reported that Lance has confided in colleagues about possibly confessing. The confession could mean a lifting of hiss lifetime ban.

Lance’s interview with Oprah on Oprah’s Next Chapter will air Thursday, January 17, from 9 to 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network. The interview will be simultaneously streamed LIVE worldwide on Oprah.com.

This is a huge deal! This is Lance’s first interview since the whole ordeal, and it’s sure to be watched by millions. Is it possible that he will actually admit the charges?! I don’t know if they’re true or not, but I do know that Oprah has a way of pulling things out of these celebs on Next Chapter that they wouldn’t normally admit in a regular interview! Guess we’ll all have to watch and see!

Lance Armstrong Quits Fighting Dope Charges, Will Lose Titles!

Lance Armstrong is done with fighting his investigation by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, which, unfortunately, means he will be banned for life from ever competing again. Late Thursday, the USADA confirmed it will also strip Lance of all results since Aug. 1, 1998, reports USA Today.

“There comes a point in every man’s life when he has to say, ‘Enough is enough.’ For me, that time is now,” Lance said in a statement.

Back in June, the USADA (recognized as the official anti-doping agency for Olympic, Pan American and Paralympic sports in the U.S.) accused Lance of using, possessing, trafficking and giving to others performance-enhancing drugs, as well as covering up doping violations. Lance profusely denied the charges.

“I have never doped, and, unlike many of my accusers, I have competed as an endurance athlete for 25 years with no spike in performance, passed more than 500 drug tests and never failed one,” he said on his website, where he also accused the USADA of wanting to “dredge up discredited allegations,” which he called “baseless” and “motivated by spite.”

This accusation is not the first though, as Lance had been accused of doping before by other U.S. riders, including Floyd Landis and Tyler Hamilton. The criminal investigation against him was eventually closed.

Following Lance’s decision, USADA chief executive officer Travis T. Tygart released the following statement

It is a sad day for all of us who love sport and our athletic heroes. This is a heartbreaking example of how the win-at-all costs culture of sport, if left unchecked, will overtake fair, safe and honest competition, but for clean athletes, it is a reassuring reminder that there is hope for future generations to compete on a level playing field without the use of performance-enhancing drugs.”

Regarding losing his titles, Lance said: “I know who won those seven Tours. The toughest event in the world where the strongest man wins. Nobody can ever change that. Especially Travis Tygart.”

I personally couldn’t go down with a fight, but it’s Lance’s decision. With the media and public scrutiny and the ongoing probing, it can get to be too much, so it’s understandable. I don’t look at like he’s guilty, just a man tired of being beaten up over this. And like he said, at the end of the day, he knows who won those seven Tours. We all do.
