Two months ago Rob Kardashian accused Rita Ora of cheating on him with “nearly 20 dudes” on a public Twitter rant that went viral. A few nights ago on an episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, the reality star defended his behavior.
Though his big sisters warned him to stop bashing Rita online, Rob was quite clear that he wasn’t sorry for what he did. “I posted what I posted to keep myself from taking her back. Every time she messed up, I took her back for over a year now,” he explained. “I just had to do that to make her hate me.”
All Kardashian sisters, Kim, Kourtney, and Khloe, weighed in on the relationship during the episode. “Rob just got out of a really weird relationship. They were actually together for about a year but Rob was never allowed to admit that they were actually an item,” Khloe said of his relationship with the British pop star. “Because she’s in the entertainment industry, she wanted to present herself to the world as a single girl.” She also added, “I think Rob got really depressed through this relationship.”
Kourtney believed that his actions might make him seem like the bad guy in the relationship, telling Rob “She’s the one who’s in the wrong but she’ll probably try to make it like you’re in the wrong for posting it. “It’s getting so ugly,” she continued in a confessional. “Instead of dealing with it privately, it’s just becoming a public matter now.”
Apparently Rob gained 40 pounds while dating Rita (I wish I WOULD gain weight just from being in a relationship with someone!). Though he didn’t apologize for the tweets, he did say, “I don’t want people to think I’m being a bitch.” Being a guy and going on a tirade on Twitter about how your ex slept aroud may make you seem that way.
Kim kept it real with him: “There’s just no point [in tweeting]. You loved her for a reason. You aren’t together for a reason now,” she reminded him. “You just always have to take the high road.”
I agree with both Kourtney and Kim. This issue needs to be dealt with off camera and off social networks, or not spoken about at all. We’ll never know the full story, but it’s time Rob gets over it and moves on.
