Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

Jada Pinkett-Smith Talks Fitness for Health Magazine

Jada Pinkett-Smith showed off her fabulous body on the cover of the most recent issue of Health magazine! The 43-year-old actress and mom discussed her fitness and eating routine, as well as as how she feels about getting older! Check out the highlights below!

On her fitness regimen:
It’s funny—my cardio workout varies. If I have a heavy carb week, I’ve got a heavy cardio week. I tell people all the time, ‘You can eat whatever you want, as long as you’re willing to put the work in, and that’s a thing I had to learn. So I make sure I do something physical every single day. But that doesn’tt mean you have to go to the gym and freaking kill yourself! I do 20 minutes of cardio a day. Everybodys thinking you gotta be in the gym for an hour and a half. Literally, I’m never in the gym longer than 45 minutes. Just be consistent—that’s it! It doesn’t necessarily have to be intense, and you will see a difference. Just go out of your house and do a brisk walk! Every night, my mother and I take the dog and just walk, and that’s a ritual for us.

On the foods she focuses on to stay healthy and being big on lean protein and fresh veggies:
And carbs! My husband’s trainer started giving me diet tips, and he dismissed the myth that more carbs means you’re going to be unhealthy. What I realized is that I wasn’t eating enough of the proper foods like pasta and rice. I needed more of a high-carb situation in order to facilitate the amount of calories I burn. That meant more fruits, meant a lot of vegetables because those are carbs as well and, if I want, some pasta or toast or English muffins.

On her bikini photo showing off her toned body
Willow took that photo. She said, “Mommy, you look so beautiful in this picture.” I couldn’t really see it, but I was so charmed that that’s how she sees her mother. I’m getting teary thinking about it now. [Tears spill down her cheeks.] Because when your kids get to be teenagers, they can get a little rough on you, you know what I mean?

On feeling good about getting older
Because it is what it is! I’m getting older! I’ve never looked at myself as, like, a beauty. I’m not sore on the eye, but I know there’s always going to be somebody more beautiful—always. My grandmother used to say to me, “It’s not about what you look like on the outside. It’s what you look like on the inside.” So she helped me learn at an early age to be well-rounded, to be spiritual, to be compassionate.

And my mom said, “You can do whatever you want with your hair and your clothes.” I went to art school, and I could make my hair lime green if I wanted. So there was a certain internal power that grew within me because I didn’t have a problem being who I was, no matter what room I was in.

On Her date nights with Will
A lot of times, we’ll do it at the house because when we go out it can be a little hectic. So we have different places around our yard where we like to set up a little Arabian tent, pillows, wine and cheese, candlelight. Will likes really thought-out productions.

Jada is freaking GORGEOUS! She stays on top of her fitness, and eats well, but doesn’t deny herself food to maintain her body either. She’s confident in her body, and that’s definitely something to look to!

Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals the Key to Her Long-Lasting Marriage, Friendship

Apparently things aren’t as bad as we may think they are between Jada Pinkett Smith and her husband Will.

Via Extra TV:

Actress Jada Pinkett Smith and husband Will Smith have had divorce rumors constantly swirling, but at FOX’s TCA this weekend, Jada made it clear to “Extra’s” Renee Bargh that they are very much together.
Pinkett Smith said the key to their relationship is friendship. “Your partner has to be your best, best, friend. And he’s my best friend.”

Jada had some sound advice on keeping your marriage strong. “You have to have kind of a warrior mentality. You have to be a solider for love. You have to be able to withstand tough times and just because the tough times come doesn’t mean it’s time to stop… it means it’s time to dig in.”

Pinkett Smith also gushed about her upcoming 20th wedding anniversary. “We’re going to be celebrating 20 years in two years, so we’re starting to plan now for a big 20th year.”

The actress is playing Fish Mooney on new FOX series “Gotham,” and said it’s a fun character to play. “She’s pretty ruthless and violent. She has quite a temper.”

“Gotham” premieres September 22.

Well here’s hoping that they really ARE happy! I can’t imagine how difficult it must be a couple in the spotlight.

Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals Why She Would Ever Leave Husband Will Smith

This month, Hollywood megastar Jada Pinkett Smith glows on the cover of REDBOOK. In the July issue, the actress, singer, activist and mother of two, opens up about tabloid rumors, family time and producing the upcoming talk show, The Queen Latifah Show. Check out the highlights from the interview below.

On why she would ever leave her husband, Will Smith:

“What is the thing that Will could do to make me not love him? That would make me abandon him? I can’t think of one. I’m sorry. Except if he did something bad to the kids – now we’ve got a problem.”

On how they find special moments in everyday life:

“We tend to find magic in the mundane. Picking Willow up from her girlfriend’s house at 9:30PM, and enjoying that ride together, then stopping at 7-Eleven to get some ice cream as a family.”

On not being interested in reality shows and tabloids:

“I have been affected by gossip and I know people who have been too. I’ve seen marriages destroyed by gossip. It is cruel. At the end of the day, all that matters is: Do you love what you see when you look in the mirror? That is it, baby.”

On producing The Queen Latifah Show (premiering Sept 16th on CBS):

“It will be a cross between Oprah and Ellen – not serious but heartfelt…to help execute this idea for such an amazing artist is really pleasing. I’m able to be creative on a whole different level.”

“Thank goodness they have a father and I don’t have to raise them alone. Having been raised by a single mother I’m very clear on what the difficulties of being raised by a single mother are. It’s very hard when you don’t have a male component in the home to create balance and help in the decision-making. Sometimes it’s nice to be able to just pass the ball, like, ‘Tag, you’re it, you got this one’.”

Quote of the Day: Jada Pinkett-Smith

“I look at the Britney Spearses, the Lindsay Lohans, and all these poor young women out here who are going through it and, you know what, that’s part of it. Some of us survive, some of us don’t. If I’d had a magnifying glass on me when I was their age… Those chicks ain’t doing half the stuff I was doing.”
