idina-menzel

It’s the time again to start talking CHRISTMAS music. Yes, I said it and I’ll say it again…CHRISTMAS!!!!

Tony Award-winning singer/actor Idina Menzel has announced the track-listing for her upcoming Christmas album, entitled Holiday Wishes, which will be released on October 14th by Warner Bros. Records. The album was produced by Grammy Award-winner Walter Afanasieff (Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey) and features such classic favorites as “All I Want For Christmas Is You” and “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” as well as Joni Mitchell’s Christmas-themed “River,” one of Menzel’s favorites. An exclusive Target edition of Holiday Wishes will feature two bonus tracks, including “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”

Menzel’s career has traversed stage, film, television, and music. She was most recently heard as Elsa in Disney’s global box office smash Frozen, in which she sings the film’s Oscar-winning song “Let It Go.” After Menzel’s performance of the multi-platinum song at the 86th annual Academy Awards, she made history as the first person with both a Billboard Top 10 hit and a Tony Award for acting.

Menzel earned her first Tony nomination as Maureen in the Pulitzer Prize- winning musical Rent, and won the award for her performance as Elphaba in Wicked. Other notable roles include Rachel Berry’s mother, Shelby Corcoran, on the hit television show Glee as well as starring opposite Susan Sarandon and Amy Adams in Disney’s Enchanted. Menzel starred in her own PBS special, Barefoot at the Symphony, with an accompanying live album of the same name, and her highly successful international concert tour recently included a sold-out performance at Radio City Music Hall. In addition to cast albums, Menzel’s prolific recording career includes the solo albums I Stand, Here and Still I Can’t Be Still.

Menzel can currently be seen on Broadway as Elizabeth in the original production If/Then, for which she earned critical acclaim and her third Tony nomination. She performed “Always Starting Over” from the musical at this year’s Tony Awards.

Taye Diggs Opens Up About His Divorce to Idina Menzel

tayediggs

Taye Diggs digs deep on finding happiness after divorce and playing a grief-stricken cop on his gripping new TNT show, Murder in the First.

Check out the highlights via Redbook magazine:

On being surprised that so many people were heartbroken when the end of his 10-year marriage to Idina Menzel was announced:
“I’d be lying if I said there weren’t times when I thought, Oh, man, people are going to trip out [if we split]. Maybe they thought it was cute that we met in Rent. There weren’t a lot of couples like us in the theater community – and I know there aren’t a lot of performers as talented as she is…and then you have the whole mixed [race] thing. It was easy for people to root for us. Right now, we’re still trying to figure out a lot of stuff because we’re on different coasts and our son is getting older.”

He’s actually a big fan of reality TV:
“I watch some pretty awful reality shows… I cried over an episode of Vanderpump Rules.”

While he plays a cop on his new TNT show, Murder in the First, he actually tackled an intruder at his own home:
“He didn’t quite enter, but he was trying to. My little one [son Walker] was home, so my Papa Bear instinct took over and I gave chase. I was cool in the moment, but afterward I realized what could have happened – that’s when fear set in.”

Taye Diggs’ mom knew her son liked the white women

Taye Diggs is one hunky piece of man, who just happened to marry a white woman. Diggs married actress Idina Menzel back in 2003 and they have been together ever since. Seven years is a freakin’ century in Hollywood years.

Get this, Tayes mother (whom I am guessing is old-fashioned and by old-fashioned I mean a bit biased about a black man hooking up with a white woman) somehow knew that Taye would be getting hitched to a white woman. In an interview with Sirius XM’s Sway in the Morning, Diggs explained,
