2348793-bdlqamnc70h6qlm6

After going back and forth between denials and confirmations for what seems like weeks, it has now finally, without a shadow of a doubt, been confirmed that Halle Berry will indeed return to the lucrative franchise X-Men as Storm.

In X-Men: Days of Future Past, Berry will be joining former co-stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellan, Hugh Jackman, and Anna Paquin. Also in the past are Shawn Ashmore, Ellen Page, and Peter Dinklage of Game of Thrones acclaim. Shooting starts soon in Montreal and the script is being kept tightly under wraps. Now that Halle has officially been announced as a cast member, questions are surfacing about Rebecca Romijn’s return. Is she returning to the cast again as well, or will they just paint some other supermodel in blue body paint and call it a day? Stay tuned…

Hugh Jackman Loves Food

Hugh Jackman (on the short list of Oscar favorites for his work in Les Misérables) opens up to PARADE this weekend about his role in Les Mis, taking risks, cherishing fatherhood, and what makes his 16-year marriage work. Here are a few highlights:

ON MAKING HIS MARRIAGE WORK:

“I am the pragmatic, steady, sensible one. Deb is the hilarious, fun, sexy, crazy, impractical one. When it comes to the kids, I’m strict and she’s lenient. But deep down, we’re very similar. We get each other completely without ever having to speak, and we have pretty much since day one.”

ON BEING A FATHER:

“I feel so lucky to have both a son and a daughter, because there’s a different relationship with each of them. Instinctively as a man, you know what your son has to go through. So I think you’re a little tougher. … With a daughter, this protective side comes out. When I come home, my daughter will run to the door and give me a big hug, and everything that’s happened that day just melts away.”

ON THE LATEST WOLVERINE FILM:

“Okay, the movie takes place after X-Men: The Last Stand. My character is at his lowest. He is supposed to be able to healhimself, but he may encounter someone who has worked out a way to really hurt him. And there is a cameo from one of the past X-Men in it.”

ON AIRBRUSHING THE NEW PHOTOS OF THE WOLVERINE:

“No, I had to do it the hard way. Let me tell you, at 44 it’s not getting easier.”

ON BEING A FOODIE:

“My gosh, I love food. If I wasn’t an actor, I could be a completely different body shape right now. But I finished filming [The Wolverine] four days ago, so I’m eating pretty much anything that comes my way!”

Hugh Jackman Says His Kids Don’t Want Him To Be Famous

Hugh Jackman has won fans worldwide for his portrayal of Wolverine in the X-Men series, but when asked about his most important role to date, it’s that of father to son Maximillian, 12, and daughter Eva, 6. Jackman recently talked to Parade.com about his Father’s Day plans, receiving a special Tony award for his contributions to the Broadway community, and his upcoming role in movie adaptation of Les Miserables.

Here are some highlights:

ON WHAT HIS KIDS THINK ABOUT HIS FAME:

“My daughter is 6 and she is really starting to get it now. My son is 12 and he just wants me to be dad. He doesn’t want me to be famous. He doesn’t like when people come up to me on the street. He would much prefer if nobody knew who I was. Although, I’ve seen him in social situations when he didn’t think I was listening, and he once said to a girl, ‘Well, my dad is Wolverine.’ So when it came to try to talk to this girl, apparently it came in handy!”

ON HIS FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING A DAD:

“The things that I really cherish are the everyday moments, like sitting around cooking pancakes together on Sunday morning, or getting home after a tough day and my kids come up and give me a hug and remind me what’s really important. On Friday nights, we will all sit down and watch a movie together and cuddle up. It’s more everyday stuff that really is the goal.”

ON THE BEST FATHER’S DAY GIFT HE HAS EVER RECEIVED:

“The best is a handwritten card. I don’t know where some of my awards are, but I can tell you exactly where those cards are. I treasure them most. I am pretty spoiled on Father’s Day. I get a lot of home cooking, which is great. My wife is an amazing cook. And my son is actually an amazing cook, too. So I always get a fair bit of cooking on Father’s Day.”

ON HIS ROLE IN LES MISERABLES:

“It’s great. We have one more week of filming and I pinch myself every day. It’s the first time a movie-musical has been done with live singing. We are singing every single take of the song. As a performer, it’s fantastic. It’s obviously challenging, especially when the call is at 8:30 in the morning, but it is so immediate. It is really about the acting. Les Miserables is one of the greatest stories ever told, and it really is an uplifting story about the human spirit. It is a rare feeling to be in something that you know you will look back on as one the highlights of your life.”

Hugh Jackman peed himself during Beauty and the Beast show

Noone is incapable of peeing their pants, even a hunky actor. It’s just that most people aren’t man enough to admit their gotta-go-poddy mishaps. Hugh Jackman recently revealed that he once peed his pants while performing on stage in Beauty and the Beast.

The story is quite funny and I think it is safe to assume that the guy makes sure to take care of his business before he gets to work OR he puts on a good pair of maximum absorbency Depends.

Quote of the Day: Hugh Jackman

“I don’t really enjoy training. People say it’s addictive, but I’m like, ‘Not so much’. If I weren’t getting paid or didn’t have a character like Wolverine to maintain, I would just be a tall, lean, fit guy.”
