Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

REPORT: Joan Rivers Placed on Life Support

Joan Rivers is reportedly in even worse condition after complications from throat surgery, and is currently on life support.

According to reports, the comedienne, was placed on life support after she stopped breathing during a routine throat surgery. It’s been said that Joan’s daughter Melissa may have to decide whether or not to keep her iconic mother on life support. If Joan“can’t recover and live a full and active life, she would rather be gone,” a friend told the New York Daily News. “She would never want to be a burden on anyone.”

Joan was previously rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in NYC after the complications from her surgery. It was later said that she was in stable condition under a medically-induced coma.

“I want to thank everyone for the overwhelming love and support for my mother,” Melissa said in a statement to Mount Sinai on Friday. “She is resting comfortably and is with our family. We ask that you continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.”

So sad! I’m really hoping that Joan pulls through. Thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends at this difficult time.

Sorry Smilers! Some of you may have to wait a little while to see your fave in concert. Miley Cyrus has officially postponed the remaining U.S. dates for her Bangerz tour, after being hospitalized for an allergic reaction to antibiotics.

Two additional dates will take place in Pittsburgh and Chicago.

Miley was hospitalized on April 15th and placed on medical rest, which, unfortunately, led to the cancellation of her shows in Kansas City and St. Louis. She had also canceled her Charlotte, North Carolina show the week before.

“Miley was suffering from a sinus infection during her tour,” said an official statement that Miley posted to Twitter for her fans. “She was prescribed the antibiotic Cephalexin which she’s now suffered an allergic reaction to. This type of extreme reaction can last from five to 27 days in these types of cases. She will remain hospitalized and is under a doctor’s care until we see some improvement in her condition and is asking for your compassion and privacy at this time. Miley is devastated about missing shows and possibly disappointing her fans.”

Miley is still scheduled to hit Europe on May 2nd, starting off her leg overseas in Amsterdam.

I’m hoping that she gets well soon! Maybe after this tour, the girl will take a little bit of a break, and relax for a while.

Usher’s Son Hospitalized After Accident in Pool

Sad news! It’s been reported that Usher‘s oldest son, Usher Raymond V, is now in the hospital after an accident in the family pool on Monday. TMZ reports. Doctors say the 5-year-old is expected to be okay, but reports say that he was in ICU after the accident.

According to TMZ, Usher V was playing in the pool with his aunt when he dove under water to get a toy from the drain. His arm then got stuck in the drain. Both his aunt and a maid jumped in to try to free him, but couldn’t get his arm out.  Two men who had been working in the house reportedly came out when the maid screamed for help and were able to get the child’s arm out. He was given CPR, and then rushed by ambulance to the hospital. Usher wasn’t home at the time, but he got there in time to ride in the ambulance with his son.

Usher also has a 4-year-old son Naviyd Ely Raymond with ex Tameka Foster.

This horrible accident comes after another tragedy in the family. In July 2012, Usher’s 11-year-old former stepson — Tameka’sson, Kile Glover — was struck by a jet ski at Lake Lanier. He was declared brain dead the next day and died two weeks later. Thankfully Usher V is going to be okay. Thoughts and prayers to the family!
