Yesterday it was reported that Mumford & Sons bassist Ted Dwane was taken to the hospital this week to receive emergency treatment for an apparent blood clot doctors found on his brain. So scary!
The band issued an official statement about the matter on its website that reads:
“Our friend and bandmate Ted has feel feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment.
“The Scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery.”
Following the news, Mumford & Sons has announced that they will postpone the next three scheduled shows, but the band assures fans that they will reschedule as soon as they can.
The band, just as many others, also said they were “wishing Ted a speedy recovery.”
Today, the Daily Mail is reporting that Dwane is “recovering nicely.” The update came via the band’s banjo player Winston Marshall, who announced the good news via Twitter.
So glad they caught the blood clot when they did and that they are able to treat it. We’ll update you guys as things develop, but until then Celebrity VIP is sending good vibes Dwane’s way and will continue to keep him in our thoughts.
