Danity Kane Announces ‘No Filter’ Tour!

Do, do you have a first aid kit handy? My heart was damaged to the core when I first heard that Danity Kane were breaking up. Imagine my excitement when four of the five original members–Aundrea, Aubrey, Dawn, and Shannon–decided to reunite! D. Woods is off doing her own thing, though I definitely think she’s better with them than solo, but to each his own.

The group is officially coming back with new music and…a NEW TOUR! The ladies will go on the road starting May 16 in San Francisco for their “No Filter Tour,” which will hit 12 other cites throughout the states!

“The symbol for the tour is our unfiltered selfies, a mosaic compiled of over 100,000 unfiltered images that our fans sent in,” Danity Kane declared in a press statement. “To our fans: Danity Kane is doing this for you. We want to give, see, and promote a real, unrestricted, uncensored, unfiltered life! That’s why we make music and that’s the way we want to see [the] world!”

Big news for Destiny’s Child fans! The group is set to release a new compilation album on January 29!

Straight from lead singer Beyoncé‘s website, the album, Love Songs, will be comprised of Destiny’s Child classics recorded between 1997-2004. Love Songs will also feature “Nuclear,” the first new Destiny’s Child recording since 2004! Produced by Pharrell Williams (who cowrote the track with DC’s Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal), “Nuclear” features vocal production by Beyoncé and Lonny Bereal. The compilation will be released under Legacy Recordings.

The website added:

In addition to the new track, “Nuclear,” Love Songs balances romantic, passionate and sensual selections from 1998’s Destiny’s Child (“Killing Time,” “Second Nature”); 1999’s The Writing’s On The Wall (“Now That She’s Gone,” “If You Leave” featuring Next, “Temptation”); 2001’s Survivor (“Brown Eyes,” “Emotion”) and 2004’s Destiny Fulfilled (“Cater 2 U,” “If,” “T-Shirt,” “Love”). Added treats for fans include the Timbaland remix of “Say My Name” (originally released on 2002’s This Is The Remix) and Kelly Rowland’s “Heaven” (a key track from Simply Deep, her 2002 solo album).”

Pre-orders are now available on Amazon! I am BEYOND excited for this album! I was thinking about Destiny’s Child a few weeks ago, wondering if they would ever reunite for an album, a song, whatever. Of course, I would love for there to be a completely new album filled with music, but beggars can’t be choosers! I can’t wait to hear these new tracks!
