Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

Lady Gaga: Bank Breaker!

We’ve barely seen or heard from Lady Gaga the past half a year or so but did that stop her from raking in the millions upon millions during the last fiscal year?

That would be a resounding NO.

The ‘Born This Way’ singer, according to Forbes, pulled in over $80 million dollars between June 2012 and June 2013. The magazine estimated she would have pulled in nearly three times as much had she not canceleyeprime.neted her Born This Way Ball tour in February. The list was only for stars under 30 years of age, and The Gaga narrowly edged out her fellow pop comrade Justin Bieber.

It looks like someone should be thanking her Little Monsters for keeping her firmly in the black.

Oprah: #1 on Forbes Again!

Just because you don’t see Oprah Winfrey every day on daytime television, doesn’t mean that train has stopped in its tracks. If anything, that locomotive is doing just fine, thank you very much.

Forbes magazine, which annually releases a list of Hollywood’s highest paid women, has just announced their latest, and as has been the case for many years, media mogul Oprah Winfrey yet again claimed the top spot, collecting approximately $165 million dollars between May 2011 and May 2012. Winfrey was so far ahead of the rest of the pack that she could not even smell the Cheetos and Frappucino elixir of the #2 woman on the list – poptrick Britney Spears, who Audiotuned her way with $58 million dollars.

As Oprah screamed from the rooftops “I got this” at the other, less fortunate women on the list, there are a few notables present that may surprise many.

Pop singer Taylor Swift made the list in third place, making her the youngest person on the list. Swift whined her way all the way to the tune of $57 million. Others on the list included pop singer Rihanna, Ellen Degeneres, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Gisele Bündchen, and Judge Judy, who closed out the top 10 with $45 million.

Talk about girl power!

Women Are Taking Over the World!

Forbe’s Celebrity 100

…or at least the Forbes’ Celebrity 100.

The mag released its annual list and guess who made it to the number one spot this year? The one, the only Ms. Oprah Winfrey who brought in a whopping $315 million last year and bumped last year’s woman on top, Angelina Jolie out of her spot. (Brad’s baby momma came in at number 18 this year.)

Beyoncé came in second with an estimated earnings of $87 million (hubby Jay-Z only contributed $63 mil and landed at number 15).

Despite the worldwide recession, Forbes said that celebrity earnings remain “remarkably resilient, with this year’s stars having earned a collective $4.7 billion during the past year, up from $4.1 billion in 2009.”

“Avatar” director James Cameron jumped back onto the Forbes list for the first time since 1999, landing at No. 3 after his movie earned a record $2.7 billion at worldwide box offices.

Glam pop star Lady Gaga made the list for the first time, taking fourth place with estimated earnings of $62 million.

Golfer Tiger Woods is the world’s fifth most powerful celebrity, despite a sex scandal that took him out of golfing for five months and lost him several lucrative endorsements. (Wonder if we’ll ever find out exactly how much of those earnings went to his mistresses?)

“He managed to earn $105 million during the past year, even as his revenue streams have diminished and his golf course design business struggles in the global economy,” said Forbes.

The Forbes’ rankings are based on a complicated science, measuring entertainment-related earnings over the past 12 months as well as exposure in print, television, radio, online, and social media.

The top five on the Forbes’ 2010 Celebrity 100 list are:

1. Oprah Winfrey, $315 million

2. Beyonce Knowles, $87 million

3. James Cameron, $210 million

4. Lady Gaga, $62 million

5. Tiger Woods, $105 million
