Apparently, there’s no love lost for Dianna Agron on the set of Glee. The former cast mate was snubbed (aka: not invited) to the show’s tribute episode, dedicated to the late Cory Monteith, and now, according to a “high-level source” from the show, the answer is simple.
They just don’t like her.
“It’s shocking, because even though she’s not contracted for this season, many other actors returned to pay tribute to Cory..even the ones with less of a story connection to Finn than Dianna [sic] had,” the source told RadarOnline.
He’s referring to the fact that Agron’s character once played Finn’s girlfriend on the show, making the fact that she was left out of the tribute episode all the more strange.
So what’s the problem?
That same source says that Monteith’s girlfriend, Lea Michele, along with the show’s co-creator, Ryan Murphy, “intensely dislike Dianna and have both worked to marginalize her as much as possible.”
Something about her not being a “team player” and concern she’d be “sharing the glory for this very special episode.”
Of course, I feel like there’s more to the story than this, because this reasoning seems petty. And, it feels like it’s an unnecessary distraction from a very heartfelt episode. None of the outside noise matters- or rather, it shouldn’t.
