Beyoncé Will Partner with Topshop for Athletic Streetwear Brand

Queen Bey just won’t stop! It has been announced that Beyoncé has partnered with London-based Topshop to form a joint company, Parkwood Topshop Athletic LTD. With this new partnership, a new athletic streetwear brand will be created, and could be launced in stores and online by fall 2015!

“This [is] not a collaboration. This is about building a brand and building a business — a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office,” Topshop owner Sir Philip Green told WWD in an interview. “Basically, when she was in London in February we arranged to get together. We started talking generally, about doing something together. We’ve been looking at that [athletic] sector for a while. It’s something we need to be in. Based on what she does, how she works out, the conversation got into that category. We started getting into proper conversation in May or June, as to how it would work. It took six or eight weeks to put a deal together. On Friday, Beyoncé came to our office for the last piece of the jigsaw puzzle.”

The collection will have clothing, footwear and accessories for dance, fitness and sports. It will be distributed to all Topshop stores and Topshop.com, but also other retailers such as Nordstrom hopefully. Topshop currently has 330 stores in the UK, and almost 500 worldwide. The fashion brand will open a store in New York on Nov. 5, opposite Saks Fifth Avenue. With 40,000 square feet, and four levels, this will be Topshop’s largest US store, and second-largest store in the world!

This is a great look for Beyoncé! I can’t wait to see what she comes out with in this new venture!

Audrey Hepburn’s Granddaughter, Emma Ferrer, Covers Harper’s Bazaar

Talk about identical! Audrey Hepburn’s granddaughter is the spitting image of the icon, covering Harper’s Bazaar in a great tribute to the late actress.

Emma Ferrer, the daughter of Ms. Hepburn’s son Sean, was featured on the magazine’s subscriber covers (The newsstand covers feature Penelope Cruz, Linda Evangelista, and Lady Gaga). Interestingly enough, the show was photographed by Michael Avedon, grandson of fashion photographer Richard Avedon, with whom Ms. Hepburn had a relationship years ago.

Currently an art student at the Florence Academy of Art, the 20-year-old spoke to the mag about her legendary grandmother, who, sadly, died before she was born. “I remember seeing a photo of her jumping on a trampoline — I believe this was before I understood that she was famous,” Emma said. “But I remember thinking that she looked like a friend I wish I could have had. As a child I couldn’t really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family.”

When asked if she had anything of  her grandmother’s, Emma said, “”All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter. And a white antique stuffed teddy bear.”

Vanessa Hudgens Returns as Face of Bongo Fashion Brand

Vanessa Hudgens is back at Bongo, returning for a second time as the face of the brand! And, this time around, she’s flaunting her natural beauty…quite literally without any retouching on her pics!  The sneak peeks for the new campaign were released today, and Vanessa looked naturally gorgeous!

“I love that the final ad images are unretouched,” the actress said in a press release. “It’s so important for girls to remember that real beauty shines from within and I’m so proud that Bongo is choosing to send such a positive message with this campaign.” The brand, which caters to junior sizes, tries to uplift girls and inspire them to feel confident no matter what size they are.

Vanessa was spotted in one picture rocking long blond waves, under a black floppy hat, wearing a loose floral top and high-waisted jeans. In another pic, the actress sports a red jacket and belted bird-print dress, playing in her hair and flashing a sexy smile (See more on E! Online!).

Other celebs that have been a part of Bongo include Annasophia Robb, Nicole Richie, and Rachel Bilson. Even Ashley Benson and Lucy Hale, stars of ABC Family’s hit series Pretty Little Liars, rocked a joint campaign back in 2012.

Kerry Washington to Launch Scandal Fashion Line!

Great news Gladiators: Now those of you like me who are in LOVE with Olivia Pope’s fashion on the show can pick up a few pieces inspired by her style! Kerry Washington and costume designer Lyn Paolo are collaborating with The Limited to launch Scandal fashion line!

“By creating a line inspired by the show, we are introducing a collection that embodies the elegance and power of the Scandal aesthetic for real-life gladiators and everyday fashionistas,” Kerry said in a press release. “The collection is a nod to our devoted fans, to fans of fashion and to women everywhere who are inspired to boldly pursue their passions and look good while doing it.”

The new mom worked with The Limited’s head of design Elliot Staples and Lyn, who comes up with the costuming for Scandal.  “It’s been really fun to have a voice at every stage of the production from picking buttons, choosing fabrics and weighing in on hair and makeup people,” Kerry said to WWD. “People who love the look of the show can now step into this world in a way that is affordable and accessible because not everybody can afford to have the clothes they see on the show,” she said.

Check out a first look at the Scandal clothing collection launching at The Limited this fall.

“The whole team took great care in creating a collection that reflects Olivia Pope’s unique style. We believe the collection tells a story of confidence and professional sophistication as well as maintaining a strong feminine point of view,” Lyn said in a press release. “I am so excited and hopeful that our Gladiators are as excited about the collection as we are; it has been such tremendous fun and such an honor to design for the amazing characters that Shonda Rhimes has created and now to help make their style accessible to all.”

Prices for the pieces are set to start at $49. Not bad at all! The line is set to make its debut in late September in The Limited stores nationwide and online. I will definitely be on the lookout! Ladies, we are sure to find some great pieces!

Zendaya is the New Face of Madonna’s ‘Material Girl’

Zendaya Coleman is definitely on top of the world right now. After winning her role as Aaliyah in an upcoming Lifetime biopic (despite the controversy around it), the Disney star has another big gig as the new face of Madonna‘s “Material Girl” teenage fashion brand!

The singer is the next face of the brand, taking the spot of Rita Ora, and joining the ranks of former material girls Taylor Momsen and Georgia May Jagger. Zendaya recently shot ads for the  brand’s fall campaign, playfully smiling and posing on the Coney Island boardwalk in Brooklyn.

“Zendaya exudes a confident, free spirit. We love having her as the new face of Material Girl,” Madonna said in a press release. Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, also a collaborator behind the brand, is also a huge supporter of the teenage singer. “I love how Zendaya makes her own style rules to fit her personality — that’s who Material Girl is all about, being yourself to the fullest,” she added.

Zendaya, of course, was thrilled that she was picked by the “dynamic mother/daughter duo,” and gave a shoutout to the brand and the Material Girl herself saying in a press release of her own, “Material Girl embraces having fun with fashion and being confident in your own skin… and who does that better than Madonna?”

Well good for her! Zendaya is a very pretty girl and is definitely perfect to be the face of the brand. She’s in the demographic, she’s cute, and she’s fun! Plus, she has a huge following, so it’s definitely smart of the brand to add her on. Now Disney fans may just want to buy more of these clothes!

The Art Of Elysium Develops L’Wren Scott Designer Award

In memoriam. The Art of Elysium, an organization that brings the love and beauty of the arts to hospitalized kids, has created an award in honor of late designer L’Wren Scott.

The Art of Elysium also honors a child by the name of Amber, who participated in the organization’s fashion workshops and had a brain tumor. The award, officially known as the L’Wren Scott Amber Award, will honor upcoming fashion designers.

L’Wren sadly committed suicide on March 17. According to various reports, her will left her $8 million Manhattan condo and her other personal possessions to her boyfriend, Rolling Stones Mick Jagger. He and her family are reportedly splitting her ashes. 

It was very nice of the Art of Elysium to create this award in both L’Wren and Amber’s honor. No word on when the first award will be given (it’s probably much too soon to consider that). However, hopefully it brings to light more emerging designers, and gives them their chance to shine in the fashion industry. Prayers and thoughts continue to go to L’Wren’s loved ones.

Nicole Richie Launches House of Harlow 1960 Clothing Line

Nicole Richie has stepped beyond accessories and finally gave her fans what they’ve been asking for! The socialite has officially launched her clothing line for House of Harlow 1960.

Nicole, who serves as creative director of the brand, said in a statement, “It’s been so gratifying to see the fan base that has grown for our accessories over the years, so I’m thrilled to provide our loyal customers with fashion to complete their look.” She added, “It’s exciting that House of Harlow 1960 is now one step closer to being a complete lifestyle brand.”

The clothes are really laid-back, just like Nicole’s own style when she’s not on the red carpet. Check out some of the designs below!



Designs range in price from $60-$300 and are available at HouseofHarlow1960.com. I wasn’t really feeling the above designs, but if you go on the site, there are definitely other cute looks that are perfect for the springtime! In any case, congratulations to Nicole on this new venture!

Keira Knightley Seduces in New Coco Mademoiselle Campaign

Keira Knightley is looking like a total goddess in the newest campaign video for Coco Mademoiselle!  In the 60-second clip, set to 60s song “She’s Not There,” by the Zombies,  Keira walks through the party in a white gown rocking a smoky eye look and loose curls, looking angelic yet seductive at the same time. A male suitor sees her and is captivated instantly. However, he never quite reaches her, until the next day, when he sees her driving a speed boat!

“The third film is very silver and quite cool,” the actress said in a press release. “But again, nobody can quite capture her; so she is kind of there, but she is sort of playing with them… And then she gets on a speed boat! What more can you ask for?” Keira became the face of Chanel back in 2007, and worked with director Joe Wright for the campaign (the two previously collaborated on Pride and PrejudiceAtonement, and Anna Karenina.) “Neither Joe nor I could ever have imagined that this collaboration would continue for so many years. Having this creative relationship with him is an incredible chance for me,” Keira continued. “We saw each other grow up, personally and professionally. And working with someone you know and who knows you just as well changes absolutely everything. We can create a story together more quickly.”

Keyshia Cole Previews Steve Madden Shoe Collection

Keyshia Cole has developed a second shoe collection under Steve Madden for Spring 2014!

Last year, she released her first collection with the shoe brand, which was really successful. Now she’s developed another, and these shoes are HOT! They’re coming out just in time for the warm weather, and, ladies, you’re going to want to snag a pair of these!

The designs for the line are colorful and unique, and the line has pumps, gladiator sandals, and wedges in various colors.  The shoes are priced between $64.99-$139.99.

Good for Keyshia venturing into something other than singing. The shoes are definitely bold and caught my eye, so I might have to get a pair or two myself. I would love the yellow pumps with the zebra heel in red, if she has them. And she’s looking really good in these photos!  Check out a preview of the collection below!

Michelle Williams Stuns as New Face of Louis Vuitton

Michelle Williams is absolutely gorgeous as the new face of Louis Vuitton’s autumn-winter 2013 campaign! Some of the ads were released today, which features the actress carrying one of the brand’s new handbags.

With the fabulous bag, along with a lacy spaghetti strapped dress and her pixie cut, Michelle definitely rocked this shoot! The pics are simple and classy, but still strong shots. Her pouty and sultry red lips make the photos pop as well. Mama is looking sexy!

Michelle follows other celebs that have modeled for the legendary fashion line, including Angelina Jolie and Madonna! This also isn’t Michelle’s first run at posing for a fashion line. Just last year, she did a shoot for Band of Outsiders’ spring-summer 2012 campaign, posing in Los Angeles’ Forever Hollywood cemetery!

Michelle’s Louis Vuitton ads will debut in the September issues of fashion mags worldwide!

Lady Gaga Inches Back to Fame Whoredom

If you are the insane yearning for more Lady Gaga news, then watch out folks because the singer is inching her way back to the spotlight after undergoing surgery for her hip. Lady Gaga made a fashionable foray back to the gossip rags yesterday in a big way. And judging by her look, stripper attire is the latest trend about to skyrocket!

Pacing the streets in a short black mini-skirt, impossibly high heels, huge shades, black bra and possibly an auburn wig, Gaga set the streets of NYC ablaze. Gaga knew her look alone was enough for the paparazzi, so she didn’t pose for them. Instead, she hopped into a chauffeured vehicle and propped her shoes out the window.

Flash flash flash!

We can’t hate on her body because it’s back, and since she’s been away for so long, we are eager to see what (and who) she does next. One thing is for certain. There will be more women walking down the streets looking like a hooker.

Kanye West Collaborating with APC to Release Men’s Fashion Line

















Kanye West is taking a break from his daddy duties, and making a comeback in the fashion world! The rapper and new father to North West is launching a menswear collection in collaboration with French label APC. Buyers and fans will be able to see the line when it’s revealed on July 14!

The label hit Twitter and Instagram to announce the news, posting a close-up shot of some jeans baring the label A.P.C. KANYE, and the text: “A.P.C. KANYE CAPSULE COLLECTION, JULY 14. #apc #kanyewest”. There’s no confirmed details on the line, but, according to reports, it’s supposed to include men’s denim, hoodies, and t-shirts.

Kanye, of course, is really into fashion, making his own trends and creating designs. He had his own label, which showed during Paris Fashion Week for two seasons. And though Kanye’s style isn’t always….understood by the masses to say the least (dude did recently rock a woman’s silk cami), it’ll be interesting to see what he and APC have come up with for men’s fashion!

Dolce & Gabbana Get Jail Time!

Fashion hit the prison walls?! Legendary designers Domenico Dolce  and Stefano Gabbana have officially each been sentenced to a year and eight months behind bars after being found guilty of tax evasion!

Dolce and Gabbana were first accused of evading Italy taxes back in 2004, which they’ve strongly denied.  The fashion label’s sale of its signature and D&G lines to Luxembourg-based holding company Gado Srl raised a red flag. The designers’ lawyer, Massimo Dinoia, called for the pair to be acquitted of the charges – while prosecutor Gaetano Ruta believed that Dolce, Gabbana and company board member Cristiana Ruella should be sent to prison for two-and-a-half years.  He added that their accountant, Luciano Patelli, should be incarcerated for three years.

It’s been rumored that Dolce and Gabbana will fight to appeal the decision.

Keeping a close eye on this case…definitely a tough hit to the fashion industry!

Kate Middleton Named UK’s Most Influential Beauty Icon
















Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the hottest of them all? Kate Middleton according to a new UK survey! The study, conducted by feelunique.com, named the Duchess of Cambridge UK’s Most Influential Beauty Icon. In a poll, 30 percent of women said that they were most likely to buy products used by the Duchess of Cambridge.

Beating out iconic Brits Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham, Kate has apparently also led many women to change their hair color from blond to brunette. “Two years ago blonde shades were more than twice as popular as brunette tones,” Siobhan McDermott, general manager of feelunique.com, told the Daily Mail. “Immediately after the Royal Wedding we experienced a surge in brown shades and in particular, Kate’s signature Natural Dark Brown colour. It’s now our most popular shade and contributes to brown colours consistently outselling blondes by two to one.”

Interesting info! I doubt that Kate really cares, what with the impending birth of her child and all, but I can believe that Kate is really influential over in Britain. Personally, I think she’s much like Princess Diana–a fresh young face with beautiful style and grace. Of course, the Brits love her!

At the Cannes Festival this weekend, while everyone was wondering what the current crop of young Hollywood was going to wear, a throwback from a classier era turned up on the red carpet and turned it out. As soon as her toes touched that carpet, all of the newest starlets in La-La Land fired their stylists, slapped their make-up artists, and vowed to up their sartorial game in 2014.

Clad all in white with just a touch of gold, Crawford reminded everyone why she was one of the ‘It Girls’ of the 90s and why she commanded the big bucks back in the day. Gisele Bundchen couldn’t hold a candle to her then or now, but I digress.
