We reported the other day that Michael Vick had to cancel his book signing tour because of death threats and now he’s speaking out on those threats. In a nutshell, Vick wants y’all haters to know that he hears ya but he isn’t phased by ya!
Vick is going to keep on trying to be a better person and he is committed to working with community service organizations (
to better his image).
Vick’s rep told TMZ that Vick is not going to let haters control his life.
“Regardless of the past threats, he has millions of fans around the world and has been receiving countless messages of support. He will continue to keep an active schedule working with charities.”
Vick is actively working with the Team Freedom Outreach (recreation and visitation programs for youth detention centers) and the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization. And in case the haters decide to keep on keeping on, you will not succeed because apparently there are more security measures put into place to keep Vick safe. Police officers also will have a heads up wherever Vick decides to go visit.
Vick’s rep continued, “Mike is committed to helping make his community a better place and [he] is determined to continue his work with charity and helping others.”
Michael Vicks new memoir is titled “Michael Vick: Finally Free.” It’s set for release on July 27.
Well it certainly is good to know that Vick is trying to move from those dog fighting days. Unfortunately, it’s going to be a long time before people start seeing the good he is trying to do.
