Celebrity Gossip Heard All Over The Web

Penelope Cruz is Esquire’s “Sexiest Woman Alive”

Penelope Cruz is Esquire‘s Sexiest Woman Alive for 2014!

The actress had an interview with the magazine recently, in her hometown of Madrid, Spain. Though she didn’t talk about her personal life or her plans for a new movie with director Pedro Almodovar, she still impressed writer Chris Jones. “She is impossibly beautiful,” he wrote in the November issue. “When she walks into a room, men start walking into furniture.” He also added, “Over the course of a long lunch, Cruz looks like a thousand different women. She flips her hair, or she shifts in her hair, or she creases her forehead or widens her eyes, and these alone are enough to transform her. It feels like watching close-up magic, an actress playing every possible part and well enough to be confounding.”

In the article, Penelope talked about how she came to finally be herself in the Hollywood scene. “I’ve played a lot of tricks on myself. I’ve made it hard for me sometimes, especially in my teens and twenties,” the actress admitted. “I had an attraction to drama. Most of us have that, especially if you are an artist — you feel like you are tempted to explore the darkness. I could not be less interested now. For me, the most attractive, charming, cool, fun, interesting thing — how could I call it? A plan.”

Currently, her focus is her family: husband Javier Bardem and kids Leo, 3, and Luna, 14 months. She shut down any questions about them, which is understandable.

Past winners of one of the mag’s highest honors have included Angelina Jolie, Mila Kunis, Halle Berry, and Scarlett Johansson, who topped the list twice, in 2006 and last year in 2013.

Penelope definitely stuns on this cover! She’s always been gorgeous, but WOW! Congrats to her for snagging the title!

Jada Pinkett-Smith Talks Fitness for Health Magazine

Jada Pinkett-Smith showed off her fabulous body on the cover of the most recent issue of Health magazine! The 43-year-old actress and mom discussed her fitness and eating routine, as well as as how she feels about getting older! Check out the highlights below!

On her fitness regimen:
It’s funny—my cardio workout varies. If I have a heavy carb week, I’ve got a heavy cardio week. I tell people all the time, ‘You can eat whatever you want, as long as you’re willing to put the work in, and that’s a thing I had to learn. So I make sure I do something physical every single day. But that doesn’tt mean you have to go to the gym and freaking kill yourself! I do 20 minutes of cardio a day. Everybodys thinking you gotta be in the gym for an hour and a half. Literally, I’m never in the gym longer than 45 minutes. Just be consistent—that’s it! It doesn’t necessarily have to be intense, and you will see a difference. Just go out of your house and do a brisk walk! Every night, my mother and I take the dog and just walk, and that’s a ritual for us.

On the foods she focuses on to stay healthy and being big on lean protein and fresh veggies:
And carbs! My husband’s trainer started giving me diet tips, and he dismissed the myth that more carbs means you’re going to be unhealthy. What I realized is that I wasn’t eating enough of the proper foods like pasta and rice. I needed more of a high-carb situation in order to facilitate the amount of calories I burn. That meant more fruits, meant a lot of vegetables because those are carbs as well and, if I want, some pasta or toast or English muffins.

On her bikini photo showing off her toned body
Willow took that photo. She said, “Mommy, you look so beautiful in this picture.” I couldn’t really see it, but I was so charmed that that’s how she sees her mother. I’m getting teary thinking about it now. [Tears spill down her cheeks.] Because when your kids get to be teenagers, they can get a little rough on you, you know what I mean?

On feeling good about getting older
Because it is what it is! I’m getting older! I’ve never looked at myself as, like, a beauty. I’m not sore on the eye, but I know there’s always going to be somebody more beautiful—always. My grandmother used to say to me, “It’s not about what you look like on the outside. It’s what you look like on the inside.” So she helped me learn at an early age to be well-rounded, to be spiritual, to be compassionate.

And my mom said, “You can do whatever you want with your hair and your clothes.” I went to art school, and I could make my hair lime green if I wanted. So there was a certain internal power that grew within me because I didn’t have a problem being who I was, no matter what room I was in.

On Her date nights with Will
A lot of times, we’ll do it at the house because when we go out it can be a little hectic. So we have different places around our yard where we like to set up a little Arabian tent, pillows, wine and cheese, candlelight. Will likes really thought-out productions.

Jada is freaking GORGEOUS! She stays on top of her fitness, and eats well, but doesn’t deny herself food to maintain her body either. She’s confident in her body, and that’s definitely something to look to!

Bethany Mota Talks YouTube Success for Seventeen

Seventeen magazine is going to be the first major women’s magazine to dedicate an issue to big stars on YouTube, including beauty and fashion YouTuber Bethany MotaBethany has been a huge success with her own channel dedicated to beauty, fashion and DIY tutorials, gaining over 7 million subscribers! Soon the YouTuber will also be featured on Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars as well.

Featured on the cover of the mag, Bethany talked about her success story and her hope for other girls in the world. Check out some of the highlights below!

How being bullied inspired Bethany  to start filming beauty videos when she was 13:
“It was so cool seeing girls being positive and spreading happiness. At first, I made beauty videos that were like everyone else’s –- I’d try to act perfect. But then I realized it might be more fun if I was just myself. So I showed my silly side and kept in the bloopers. I liked those videos way more, and people appreciated that realness.”

What it’s been like to grow up on YouTube:
“I think it’s taught me to be a lot more self-motivated and has taught me how to encourage myself and not rely on a teacher or a boss telling me what to do. I’m my own boss. My biggest thing to overcome has been not being afraid to be different. It’s safer to do what everyone else is doing, but it pays off way more to be yourself.”

Her advice for other girls who are trying to find their place in the world:
“You have to be your own motivator! A lot of teens say they’re bored. Before I got on YouTube, I’d say the same thing. But there is always something you can be doing. If YouTube isn’t your thing, maybe it’s a sport or something else you’re good at. There’s always something you can be the best at –- you just have to look for it.”

You can check out Seventeen.com for more! I’ve checked out some of Bethany’s work, and she’s a very charismatic and real young woman who is making an impact doing what she loves. Go her!

Audrey Hepburn’s Granddaughter, Emma Ferrer, Covers Harper’s Bazaar

Talk about identical! Audrey Hepburn’s granddaughter is the spitting image of the icon, covering Harper’s Bazaar in a great tribute to the late actress.

Emma Ferrer, the daughter of Ms. Hepburn’s son Sean, was featured on the magazine’s subscriber covers (The newsstand covers feature Penelope Cruz, Linda Evangelista, and Lady Gaga). Interestingly enough, the show was photographed by Michael Avedon, grandson of fashion photographer Richard Avedon, with whom Ms. Hepburn had a relationship years ago.

Currently an art student at the Florence Academy of Art, the 20-year-old spoke to the mag about her legendary grandmother, who, sadly, died before she was born. “I remember seeing a photo of her jumping on a trampoline — I believe this was before I understood that she was famous,” Emma said. “But I remember thinking that she looked like a friend I wish I could have had. As a child I couldn’t really relate to Audrey Hepburn, the actress. To me, she was family.”

When asked if she had anything of  her grandmother’s, Emma said, “”All I can think of are her cashmere turtlenecks, which I adore and wear all throughout the winter. And a white antique stuffed teddy bear.”

They look so much alike! The poses and outfits chosen were perfect to match Aubrey Hepburn’s style. Check out Harper’s Bazaar for the full interview and photos from the shoot!

Rachel McAdams Talks Working with Lindsay Lohan and Phillip Seymour Hoffman in ALLURE

Rachel McAdams shined on the cover of ALLURE’s August issue, shedding her makeup and going au naturel! In her interview, the actress opened up on her thoughts about love (especially after her breakup with Ryan Gosling), as well as working with Lindsay Lohan and the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman.

“If anything, I was in awe of her talent. I looked at her as this experienced actor, and she had great comedic timing, so natural,” Rachel said of her experience with Lindsay on the set of Mean Girls. Lindsay herself reportedly found that Rachel was intimidating, to which Rachel responded, “It’s just funny to hear that because you never know what people are thinking. We all try to act like we’ve got it together.”

The actress is set to appear next in the upcoming flick, A Most Wanted Man, which also stars Phillip Seymour Hoffman. “”I learned so much from him,” she said of working with the late actor.” He really takes you under — he really took me under his wing. You feel very taken care of, but at the same time there’s an element of danger: There’s a crackle in every scene,” she continued. “He makes sure the stakes are very high, and there’s a safety there, too. He had so much natural, raw talent, but he worked so hard, too. He really worked for it and didn’t let up. I’m sure that wasn’t easy.”

You can check out more of the spread and interview here! And, of course, be sure to pick of a copy Rachel’s issue when it hits newsstands July 29!

Kanye West Talks Wedding & Love for Kim Kardashian in GQ

Kanye West recently snagged the cover of the most recent issue of GQ, and was open as always about his recent wedding to Kim Kardashian, clearing up rumors that he gave himself a 45-minute toast, and speaking out on Jay Z and Beyoncé not showing up. Check out some of the highlights from the interview below!

If he feels like TMZ is trying to “de-fang” him when they mock him:
“I don’t have fangs. I’m a porcupine. I’m a blowfish. Like, I’m a — what’s the fish that blows up? Yeah. I’m a blowfish. I’m not a shark, I’m a blowfish. So that perfect example about me hitting my head, it’s like a blowfish. I wasn’t coming out of my house going to a paparazzi’s house to attack them. I’m defending my family in front of my own house. I’m defending my name as someone’s screaming something negative at me. That’s a blowfish. People have me pinned as a shark or a predator in some way, and in no way am I that. I wouldn’t want to hurt anyone. I want to defend people. I want to help people.”

On rumors he gave a 45-minute toast to himself:
“And what I talked about in it was the idea of celebrity, and celebrities being treated like blacks were in the ’60s, having no rights, and the fact that people can slander your name. I said that in the toast. And I had to say this in a position where I, from the art world, am marrying Kim. And how we’re going to fight to raise the respect level for celebrities so that my daughter can live a more normal life. She didn’t choose to be a celebrity. But she is. So I’m going to fight to make sure she has a better life.”

On Jay Z and Beyonce not attending his wedding:
“All that, I wouldn’t even speak on. It doesn’t even matter to me whatsoever, who would show up. Because the most important person to show up there, to me, was Kim. And that’s all that matters to me.”

On who is responsible for his wedding photo garnering more likes than any other photo in Instagram’s history:
“It’s because of Kim. Meaning there’s no photo that I would have put up by myself, or next to one of my smarty friends, that would have got that amount of likes … Now the thing that is the most popular is also communicating the highest level of creativity. The concept of Kimye has more cultural significance than what Page Six could write.”

On why he married Kim:
“Like they said in ‘Step Brothers’: Never lose your dinosaur. This is the ultimate example of a person never losing his dinosaur. Meaning that even as I grew in cultural awareness and respect and was put higher in the class system in some way for being this musician, I never lost my dinosaur. Kim is this girl who f**king turns me on. I love her. This is who I want to be next to and be around … You mean to tell me that this girl with this f**king body and this face is also into style, and she’s a nice person, and she has her own money and is family-oriented? That’s just as cool as a f**king fighter jet or dinosaur! And just as rarely seen.”

Kanye clearly loves him some Kim K! Read the full story here!

Zoe Saldaña Talks Relationships and Dream Roles in Marie Claire

Zoe Saldaña stunned on the cover of the August issue of Marie Claire, which is set to hit newsstands on July 22. In her feature interview, the Guardians of the Galaxy star opened up about her family, her husband, her thoughts on love and relationships, and her dream roles for her career.

Check out some of the highlights below!

On her relationship with husband Marco Perego: “I don’t do the ABCs. I do what my heart says, what my heart feels. So from the moment I met my husband, we were together. We knew.”

On the biggest thing she’s learned about relationships: “Not to settle. If you’re not happy with a person, leave. And wait until you find that one person who makes you feel good about yourself every single day and is not expecting you to change, but to grow.”

On disrespect: “I have been in relationships where a man has disrespected me, and I don’t need to be friends with that man anymore. I don’t want to be the one going, ‘I’m cool, because I’m friends with all my exes.’ There’s a reason why you’re called an ex. I crossed you off my list. Moving on. You cross a line, you need to know that you’re going to walk this earth knowing that there’s an individual who has no respect for you.”

On dream roles: “I would love to play Nefertiti or Cleopatra or the Queen of Sheba. We preserve more male history than we do female. We have to preserve it. No more complaining. We have to do it.”

On growing up in Dominican Republic: “I had many female bullies growing up who wanted us to be submissive and to follow and to kiss ass, and that’s the last thing any Saldana will ever do, honestly.”

Needless to say, from this short tidbit, readers can see that Zoe is definitely not the one to play with! She offered some wise advice in terms of relationships, as well. She’s not only a talented actress, but a strong person, who will speak her mind as she feels. Kudos to her for snagging this cover!

Zoe Saldana Talks Controversial Nina Simone Role in Monarch Magazine

Zoe Saldana recently snagged the cover of Monarch magazine, looking gorgeous! The actress, who landed the role of the late jazz artist Nina Simone, talked to the mag about the controversy behind her getting the role, how she feels about always having to define, and, in a sense, defending her race and culture, and how she prepared for it.

Check out the highlights of the interview below!

Playing the late, great Nina Simone, what inspired you to do a project like this?
Nina was a true genius and an iconic artist. It was a dream job for me. It’s one of the scariest projects I’ve ever been involved with because it was about an iconic figure, and there were so many political [issues] around it from the beginning; but I really wanted it to be a love song to Nina Simone and I wanted it to just come from a place of absolute love. I loved the complexity of Nina and her beauty that she expressed with her music. I wanted to do right by her and knew it would be challenging. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing opportunity to play a true legend.

How did you prepare for the role?
I did a lot of research to prepare for Nina. I took piano lessons, voice lessons, worked with a dialect coach, and I really invested months of just doing research about Nina – her background, her story, her life. My research ranged from reading books about Nina, listening to her music, watching footage of her.

How did the controversy about you playing Nina affect you?
The Nina Simone story needed to be told, and I’m really blessed that I did it. I’m human. I wish I was made of steel and so certain things wouldn’t affect me. So it did affect me but I couldn’t let that deter me from doing what I needed to do. Just like everybody else I feel very strongly about Nina Simone, and that [this] was a story that needed to be told. I do believe that if everybody had more information about how this all came to be, it might help; but then again, I’m not here to get the acceptance of everyone – I’m here to be an artist first. Hopefully people will enjoy the film and I helped shed some light on this amazing iconic

Do you feel like your heritage and ethnicity is always questioned?

I find it uncomfortable to have to speak about my identity all of the time, when in reality it’s not something that drives me or wakes me up out of bed every day. I didn’t grow up in a household where I was categorized by my mother. I was just Zoe and I could have and be anything that I ever wanted to do … and every human being is the same as you. So to all of a sudden leave your household and have people always ask you, “What are you? What are you?” is the most uncomfortable question sometimes and it’s literally the most repetitive question. Because I can’t wait to be in a world where people are sized by their soul and how much they can contribute as individuals and not what they look like … I feel like as a race, that’s a minute problem against the problems we face just as women versus men, in a world that’s more geared and designed to cater towards the male species.

You can read more of the interview here!

Though Zoe has received A LOT of backlash for getting this role (many believed she wasn’t dark enough to play the role), I know that she is very talented and has the potential to pull this off. Plenty of actresses have done it before anyway. Angela Bassett looked nothing like Tina Turner, and look how well that turned out! I’m going to rule out judgement until I see the finished product.

Lupita Nyong’o Named PEOPLE’s Most Beautiful!

Lupita Nyong’o is continuing to win! She’s an Oscar winner, and the newest spokesperson for Lancôme, and now she has been named PEOPLE’s “Most Beautiful!”

“It was exciting and just a major, major compliment,” Lupita said of the cover. “I was happy for all the girls who would see me on [it] and feel a little more seen.”

Lupita had her share of issues with her self-esteem about her own appearance, connecting beauty with the women she saw on TV. “Light skin and long, flowing, straight hair,” she says of the “ideal woman” she saw. “Subconsciously you start to appreciate those things more than what you possess.” However, her mom, Dorothy, who is the managing director and head of PR for the Africa Cancer Foundation, “always said I was beautiful,” she said. “And I finally believed her at some point.”

The best compliments that she receives are “when I have been called beautiful with not one drop of makeup on,” she adds. “And also before I comb my hair or put on a pretty dress. Happiness is the most important thing.”

Lupita definitely rocks her natural beauty with such amazing style, and it’s great to see her named “Most Beautiful” this year! She’s beautiful on the outside, and seems to be such a sweetheart! I think she’s a great role model for young women, so congrats to her!

Beyoncé Talks About Sexual Liberation for OUT Magazine

Beyoncé became yet another star to channel Marilyn Monroe for her recent interview with OUT Magazine (she did it very well, though!). Sitting down with the mag, the star spoke about her decisions for her self-titled hit album, and her choice to use her music to inspire women to be sexual and confident. Check out some of the interview below!

On how she created a sexual liberation conversation with her latest album

I’d like to believe that my music opened up that conversation. There is unbelievable power in ownership, and women should own their sexuality. There is a double standard when it comes to sexuality that still persists. Men are free and women are not. That is crazy. The old lessons of submissiveness and fragility made us victims. Women are so much more than that. You can be a businesswoman, a mother, an artist, and a feminist—whatever you want to be—and still be a sexual being. It’s not mutually exclusive.

[It was] much freer than anything I’d done in the past. We really just tried to trust our instincts, embrace the moment, and keep it fun.” As an illustration she singled out the video for “Drunk in Love,” a fan favorite. “We were in Miami for Jay’s concert, and it was just the two of us, on the beach, amazing weather, and one outfit! It’s beautiful in its simplicity. If you want something to feel real and urgent, you can’t overthink it.

Beyonce-Out-Magazine-2014

On if it was her decision to have her voice sound raw and less polished for ‘XO’
When I recorded “XO” I was sick with a bad sinus infection. I recorded it in a few minutes just as a demo and decided to keep the vocals. I lived with most of the songs for a year and never rerecorded the demo vocals. I really loved the imperfections, so I kept the original demos. I spent the time I’d normally spend on backgrounds and vocal production on getting the music perfect. There were days I spent solely on getting the perfect mix of sounds for the snare alone. Discipline, patience, control, truth, risk, and effortlessness were all things I thought about while I was putting this album together.

On if she intentionally set out to make an album that feminist as well as the LGBT community could identify with
While I am definitely conscious of all the different types of people who listen to my music, I really set out to make the most personal, honest, and best album I could make. I needed to free myself from the pressures and expectations of what I thought I should say or be, and just speak from the heart. Being that I am a woman in a male-dominated society, the feminist mentality rang true to me and became a way to personalize that struggle…But what I’m really referring to, and hoping for, is human rights and equality, not just that between a woman and a man. So I’m very happy if my words can ever inspire or empower someone who considers themselves an oppressed minority…We are all the same and we all want the same things: the right to be happy, to be just who we want to be and to love who we want to love.

I know that there has been some controversy behind Bey shedding her pretty girl image, but I actually admire what she did with this album, not even just as a stan but as a woman. She’s married now and she’s a mommy yes, but that doesn’t mean that she still can’t stand strong in her business, in her music, and in her sexuality. All power to her!

Lena Dunham Talks Love, Beauty, and Possibly Quitting Acting in Glamour

Lena Dunham snagged the cover of Glamour’s April issue, with some different revelations on her life! In her interview, the Girls actress and creator admitted that she may let acting go in the future, as well as opened up about her relationship with boyfriend Jack Antonoff, and her simple thoughts on beauty.

Here are some of the highlights from the interview!

On dating boyfriend Jack Antonoff right after the show premiered: “The dialogue around the show already existed, so it was sort of clear to him what the baggage of dating me was going to be. I remember talking with him on our first date and him being like, ‘God, all the articles about your nudity on the show are such bullsh*t.’ It’s funny, ’cause in some ways that’s the conversation we still have when I’m upset [about stuff I read].”

On acting in the future: “I don’t know if I’m going to want to act anymore. I’m always relieved on the days I don’t have to. I’d rather give parts to other women than be the woman having the parts.”

Source-Tom-MunroGlamour

On her artistic choices on the show: “I want you to feel like you are getting lost with these characters. So I write long scenes. TV feels the least likelife when it’s, like, two seconds here, then ‘meanwhile at this person’s house.’ I wanted to make a show that wasn’t as bright as other shows . . . I’ve always been incredibly attracted to pictures of my parents [the artists Laurie Simmons and Carroll Dunham] in the 1970s. That aged photograph palette seems to give an importance to their 20s. So I was like, I’d like to make something that shows my 20s through that beautiful soft-focus lens. Also, I get very fetishistic when I’m shooting the girls — especially Jemima.”

On how she feels about beauty: “I feel prettier with a naked face and ChapStick. But a good haircut makes a huge difference.”

Lena looks awesome in these pictures! I think she’s a good actress, and I hope she sticks with it, but it’s her decision. I’m sure she will keep creating beyond Girls, though!

LeBron James Snags the March Cover for GQ, Responds to His Critics

NBA baller LeBron James was looking sharp on the cover of the March issue of GQ! In his interview, LeBron went in about his critics, his life as a husband to wife Savannah, and what he learned about the controversy behind him leaving Cleveland for the Miami Heat. Check out some of his answers below!

On not being selfish (despite his critics saying otherwise)

“Like, I could average thirty-five points a game if I really wanted to,” he says. He is beautifully handsome, solid and smooth as a sycamore. “But then—it wouldn’t be me,” he says. “So I don’t know if I could do it, because of my instincts. I see a teammate open—even if I have a great shot—I see a teammate open for a better shot, I gotta feed him. It’s like, my mind sometimes be like ‘Shoot it,’ but then—my instincts, you know?”

Fatherhood, he says, is a lot like sports. “Being a leader of my household, a leader of Miami, a leader of Team USA. It’s the same exact thing. You can sense when a guy is frustrated—maybe doesn’t feel involved enough in the offense. As leader you go over to him, you know, ‘How can I help?’ Because at the end of the day, we all have one common goal—and that’s to be great.”

On why he’s proud that he’s changed, like haters criticize him for doing

“Good! That’s like a good thing,” he says. “I’m like, ‘Thank you.’ Shit. I’m 29 years old with a family—I’m married with a family. I—of course I’ve changed. The problem is, you haven’t changed. And that’s why you dislike what I do, you know.”

“As an African-American, we hear it a lot where we grow up. You’ve changed.” He’s sick of hearing it used as a criticism. “Because you’ve tried to better yourself and because you’ve made it out. ‘You’re not the same person that we used to know.’ Of course I’m not. I’m trying to better myself. Change is not a bad thing. Thinking that it’s bad, you know, that’s one thing I think is a downfall for African-Americans for sure.”

On thanking his father for NOT being around

“Like, ‘Wow, Dad, you know what, I don’t know you, I have no idea who you are, but because of you is part of the reason who I am today.’ The fuel that I use—you not being there—it’s part of the reason I grew up to become who I am. It’s part of the reason why I want to be hands-on with my endeavors. And be able to put my guys that’s with me now in position. Like Maverick Carter, my right-hand guy in my business. Rich Paul, my agent. Randy Mims, my friend—he’s my manager, you know. So me in a position allowing people around me to grow, that maybe wouldn’t have happened if I had two parents, two sisters, a dog, and a picket fence, you know?”

On what he learned from all the controversy he caused with The Decision

“The best thing that ever happened to me,” he says. “I needed it. It helped me grow as a man. As a professional, as a father. At the time, as a boyfriend. It helped me grow. Being confined, I spent my whole life in Akron, Ohio. For twenty-five years. Even though I played professionally in Cleveland, I still lived in Akron. Everything was comfortable. I knew everything, everybody knew me—everything was comfortable. I needed to become uncomfortable.”

“Now I’ve seen everything on and off the floor this league has to offer,” he says. “I got an answer for everything. Winning, losing, being a free agent, staying, leaving, media, media down on you, media big up on you, agents, money, parking it, family, money. All, everything. So whatever your question is, I can deliver.”

On why people like Miley don’t need to be attention grabbers

“Miley Cyrus? She has a great voice! She don’t need the shenanigans. She can have some of the shenanigans, but not all of the shenanigans, you know? And she can be at peace! She can be at peace.  Shenanigans.”

Miley Cyrus Poses Naked (Of Course!) For W Magazine

Miley Cyrus snagged the cover of W Magazine‘s March “Social Media Issue,” and, no surprise here, she’s scantily clad. The singer was interviewed by Ronan Farrow, speaking out on the negative attention about her image, which just oozes sex, as well as the bad press about her tour.

“I don’t give a s–t,” she boldly said about her upcoming Bangerz tour, which already has accusations that she is exploiting her minority backup dancers. “I’m not Disney, where they have, like, an Asian girl, a black girl, and a white girl, to be politically correct, and, like, everyone has bright colored T-shirts.  You know, it’s like, I’m not making any kind of statement. Anyone that hates on you is below you, because they’re just jealous of what you have.”

rs_634x846-140131135937-634.Miley-Dress-Blck-White-W-Magazine.jl.013114_copy

In terms of her provocative image, Miley claims it’s a stand against the norm among peers . “I just don’t get what half the girls are wearing. Everyone to me seems like Vanna White. I’m trying to tell girls, like, ‘F–k that. You don’t have to wear makeup. You don’t have to have long blonde hair and big t–ties. That’s not what it’s about. It’s, like, personal style.’ I like that I’m associated with sexuality and the kind of punk-rock sh-t where we just don’t care,” she said. “Like Madonna or Blondie or Joan Jett—Jett’s the one that I still get a little shaky around. She did what I did in such a crazier way. I mean, girls then weren’t supposed to wear leather pants and, like, f–king rock out. And she did.”

I don’t know if it’s the lack of heavy makeup, bleached eyebrows, Photoshop, or what, but Miley looks NOTHING like herself here! Miley has officially switched to RihannaGood Girl Gone Bad mode, turning over a new leaf to get publicity. She’s going to do what she wants, when she wants, how she wants. I just hope it doesn’t come back to bite her later.

Victoria Beckham Shuts Down Any Future Spice Girls Reunions

Victoria Beckham is moving forward from the past, and not looking back! In an interview with Vanity Fair Italy and Spain, Victoria is officially putting Posh Spice and the rest of the Spice Girls behind her, ruling out participating in any future reunions.

“I won’t ever do it again. The Olympics was an incredible honor. I was so proud to do it; proud to be British,” she said of her performance with her old group at the London 2012 Olympics. ‘That was a perfect time to say, ‘That’s great. Thank you to everybody, but no more. Sometimes you’ve got to know when it’s time to leave the party.’

Victoria added that her focus is fashion more so music, but knows that her past singing and present career in fashion are interconnected. ‘The Spice Girls were successful because we celebrated women. That’s why I do what I do today,” she stated.

The mother of four also opened up about how hard it was to watch her husband David play in his last soccer game before retiring last May. “It was very emotional. We were so proud. He couldn’t have given more to the sport than he did,” she admitted. However, she’s grateful that now he gets to spend more time with her and their family. “After so many years, we have shared – and continue to share – him with so many people. So it’s nice to have him home,” she said.

Victoria looks gorgeous on this cover! Not that surprised that she doesn’t want to do anything else with the Spice Girls. Her fashion has been her focus for quite a while, and I don’t see her giving that up for new music. Honestly though, if the group got back together, a good part of me thinks that they would be okay without her.
