Backstreet Boys Reunite After Six Years on Good Morning America (VIDEO)

My boys were never really gone, but the Backstreet Boys are up one member. Kevin Richardson, who took a hiatus from the group for a few year to focus on other projects, has rejoined the group! HOLLA!

The group officially reunited on Friday during Good Morning America’s concert in New York City’s Central Park.

The guys revealed that they are working on their FIFTH studio album and bandmates Brian Littrell (37), Kevin Richardson (40), AJ McLean (34), Howie Dorough (38) and Nick Carter (32) performed their hits “Larger Than Life,” “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back), “Incomplete” and “I Want It That Way”.

Carter told anchor Lara Spencer, “We definitely have some of the best fans in the world, that’s for sure.” McLean added, “It’s like we never stopped — and now we’ve got Kev back, so now Backstreet’s back.”

The guys also confirmed an October 2013 Backstreet Boys cruise to coincide with their 20th anniversary. TWENTY years?!!! Richardson exclaimed, “2013’s going to be a big year for us!”

I love these guys. I don’t care what anyone says you can bet your booty I will be at their concert in the front row with bells on. Check out their GMA performance below. They are still as fabulous as ever.

Backstreet Boys singer AJ McLean and his wife of eight months, Rochelle Karidis, broke the happy news on Twitter that their new arrival is going to be a GIRL! They first announced the pregnancy back in April.

“Thank you guys for all of your love and support,” AJ said in a SocialCam video posted on his Twitter page.

Planning to name her Ava Jaymes, AJ confirmed that his daughter will be the first “Backstreet girl.” McLean’s bandmates Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson and Howie Dorough are all fathers of baby boys.

AJ first proposed to Rochelle in January 2010 during a live concert in Las Vegas. The couple then tied the knot in December 2011 at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Celebrity photographer Tyler Shields officiated the ceremony, which was attended by Kathy Griffin, and all of his Backstreet family including Nick Carter.

Awww congrats to them!

NKOTBSB’s London Concert To Broadcast Live in Movie Theaters

NKOTBSB are doing something a little different. New Kids on the Block and the Backstreet Boys are about to make history by broadcasting a concert LIVE in more than 300 cinemas across Europe.

Here’s the deal. NKOTBSB’s show at London’s O2 Arena that is set to take place later this month will be transmitted via a satellite feed and countries that are going to get in on the concert are Ireland, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Estonia, and Latvia.

Yes viewers will get the ultimate experience, including high def camera AND 5.1 surround sound. It’s going to be a concert experience for fans in movie theaters that may be sitting miles away from the guys. Hey, it works!

Of the idea, Backstreet Boys star Howie Dorough says, “It’s so exciting to know that even though we weren’t able to bring our show to certain places in Europe our fans will still have the opportunity to experience it like they were there. We can’t wait for everyone to see the show!”

VIP EXCLUSIVE: Backstreet Boys’ Howie D. talks new album, BSB and YOU

Backstreet Boys Howie D. interview

As a young girl, I remember my mother taking me and my three sisters to wait in line at wee hours in the morning just to purchase Backstreet Boys concert tickets. But we weren’t the only ones there waiting four hours before the tickets actually went on sale. It was a phenomenon and craze that my mother compared to that of the Beatles.

We’d annoy her with our constant blasting of “I Want It That Way” over and over and over on our mini boom boxes (which I am surprised we didn’t blow the speakers out of), hanging up the phone line because we had to call radio stations to make our requests and putting numerous nail holes in our walls to hang up posters of our favorite member (mine was AJ, for those of you dying to know).

But we were just four fans (five counting my mother, who I’m pretty sure had a soft spot for former Backstreet Boy Kevin Richardson) from the Midwest. The Backstreet Boys were a hot commodity and were loved in every major city (and then some) by millions of (mostly) girls around the world.

After selling millions of records and reigning pop music for years, Backstreet Boys member Howie D. is still the reserved one, the humble one or as fans refer to him as…the “sweet” one. Though the group consisting of Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Dorough have been through up’s and down’s throughout their music career of 18 years, including a lawsuit with shady impresario Lou Pearlman, AJ’s struggle with addiction and Kevin’s decision in 2006 to “retire” from the group, Howie credits the fans for never abandoning them.

Celebrity VIP Lounge’s Danity Donnaly had the chance to chat with Howie about being in THE most popular and most successful boy bands of our time, why he waited until now to release a solo album and that wild and wicked hip shaker in his new video “100”.

Check out the interview below.

Best BSB member solo attempt?

One-fourth of The Backstreet Boys, Howie D (Howie Dorough) is branching out on his own for a hot minute. Now before you start with the oh-yeah-yet-another-one-attempts-the-solo thing, listen to this. This may be the most successful of all BSB solo attempts. When Howie’s solo debut album “Back To Me” releases you can bet that those giddy girls from back in the Backstreet Boys days will be dishing out some dough for this one. Sweet Howie has released a new single called “Lie To Me” and from what I can hear, it is radio friendly and could be a surefire hit.
