Beyoncé Will Re-Release ‘Beyoncé’ Album With New Music and Video Footage!

Beyoncé is coming back with some new music! The singer is re-releasing her surprise 2013 album Beyoncé with some new tracks, remixes to the original songs, as well a DVD!

According to Us Weekly, Queen Bey will premiere two brand new songs on this new album called “7/11” and “Ring Off.” The album will also include four new remixes: “Flawless Remix” with Nicki Minaj, a “Drunk in Love Remix” with Kanye West and Beyonce’s husband Jay Z, a “Blow Remix” with Pharrell Williams, and a “Standing on the Sun Remix” with Mr. Vegas.

The additional DVD will feature videos of live performances from the  Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, with extra commentary Bey herself. This platinum package will also include a 2015 Beyoncé calendar as well as photo booklets.

The album, set to be released November 24, is rumored to cost $30-$35. Though I have the original album, I might end up buying this anyway. I have GOT to have that DVD with the performances! I went to the Mrs. Carter Show, and had an amazing time. To see the performances edited and dolled up will be awesome, though!

Patiently waiting until November 24!

REPORT: Beyoncé and Jay Z Working on Joint Album!

This power couple just won’t let up! Reports are circulating that Beyoncé and Jay Z are working on a joint album!

The couple is said to be in the studio, recording new music, according to Dash Radio‘s DJ Skee. No one in either star’s camp has made an announcement yet, but the album is rumored to be set for release in late 2014 or early 2014.

It only makes sense to me…they work incredibly well together! Bey and Jay have already done a bunch of hit songs together, including “’03 Bonnie and Clyde,” “Crazy In Love,” “Upgrade You,” and now, more recently, “Drunk in Love” and “Part II (On the Run).” Plus they’ve just finished co-headlining their On The Run Tour, which was a huge success! The Carters just got back from their final nights on the tour in Paris, planning to air the show this Saturday on HBO.

This will be their first full-length album together, if the reports are true. The way I see it, they can release this album, and possibly go on tour again in the summer! It would be perfect. I didn’t get to see them this go-around since I was out of the country, but, if they went on tour again, I’d be sure to snag a ticket! I’m definitely hoping that this album comes to pass.

Robin Thicke Names New Album After Estranged Wife Paula Patton

Robin Thicke refuses to quit in his mission to get  Paula Patton back! The singer, who split with the actress earlier this year, is going as far as to even name his new album after her!

His rep confirmed the news to Us Weekly, saying that Robin’s upcoming album, which will be released July 1, will be called Paula. It will include the single “Get Her Back,” which Robin first sang at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards in May. As he introduced the song, Robin said, “All right, y’all, help me get her back.”

High school sweethearts, the couple announced their decision to part ways back in February, after almost 9 years of marriage. Rumor has it that it was Paula’s choice, and that Robin is desperately trying to save the marriage. Since the announcement was made, Robin has made several attempts publicly to get his woman back! Just days after their split, he dedicated a song to Paula at a concert in Fairfax, Va., telling the crowd, “For y’all that don’t know, me and my wife separated but I’m trying to get my girl back.”

Paula herself recently told Vanity Fair that there was and would always be a “deep love” between her and Robin. “We’ve known each other since we were teenagers,” she said. “All I can tell you is there’s a deep love there — always was, and always will be. He wasn’t my first kiss, but he was my first lots of other things.”

Rumors are flying that his recent naughty behavior on stage and at parties turned Paula away, but no one knows for sure. However, I don’t think songs and an album title is enough to get her back. In any relationship, ACTION is key. Let her see that you have really changed, and maybe she’ll strongly consider giving you another chance!

Ashanti Talks New Album ‘BraveHeart’, Split with Nelly on The Huffington Post

For those Ashanti fans out there, her new album BraveHeart is FINALLY out in stores, after almost 6 years of waiting! The R&B singer dished to The Huffington Post on the new album, which features singles “I Got It” and “First Real Love”, as well as her breakup with rapper Nelly, and her future acting opportunities.

Check out the interview below!

How would you describe the meaning behind the album’s title, “BraveHeart”?

There’s a few things about it. The title kind of speaks for itself, just being brave and having heart in everything that you do in life. I feel that this album is my most vulnerable, my bravest album that I’ve spoken the most about personal experiences. My last album came out in 2008 and here we are in 2014, and I’ve grown, obviously. The music industry has changed so much. And people have seen me go through so many things in the public, whether it’s my personal life or my career, and I feel like a lot of answers [are] in this album.

Were there any difficulties adjusting to today’s R&B scene, in comparison to your last project?

Not so much difficult to adapt, but more so being brave in sticking to my roots and sticking to what my core fans love me for, in addition to understanding that things evolve. And it’s good to be creative and it’s good to try new things. Not totally abandoning where you came from musically, but kind of enhancing. So it’s kind of like giving the best of both worlds. Like showing your growth and showing your progression, but not necessarily abandoning what people love you for.

How much of an impact did your public relationship with Nelly affect your writing process?

I definitely feel like my situation has played a huge role in the records and how I felt. As far as dropping a ‘hot 16’ [song verse], I might have recorded them but they didn’t make the album. [Laughs] There is a record that I have called “Scars” that is weird, because [it’s] talking about being scarred in a relationship, but it’s not a ballad. It’s a head nod record. So I think that was a great twist for me.

Aside from everyone that you worked with on this album, noticeably absent is your Murder Inc. family. Can fans expect a reunion of some sort in the near future?

Me and Ja [Rule] was in the studio not too long ago. And I was playing him some records … The thing about me and Ja is, our chemistry is undeniable. It doesn’t take a lot for us to get into the studio and come out with something crazy. So at this point we both are kind of like doing our own thing because we know we’re superior in what we can do together. But I think later on we can see a little collabo, reunion. [Laughs]

Last month Irv Gotti posted his thoughts, via his Instagram account, on his past idea of teaming Ja Rule, Jay-Z and DMX for an album. By chance, do you recall any of the conversations during that period?

Oh my God, that would have been phenomenal! I remember when were at a hotel and I came downstairs to the lobby and Jay and Irv were sitting at the table, and they were talking about putting that tour together. This was probably around 2003, 2004. And it was going to be Ja, Jay and X. And I was like, “Nah, I want to be on there, too.” [Laughs]

But I remember just the excitement of that possibly happening. And it’s unfortunate that it didn’t happen, but I think it would’ve been something monumental because all of them are just so super creative and their energy is amazing. That would’ve been something crazy! And I would’ve “Deebo’d” my way in. [Laughs]

In addition to your music career, you’ve also been busy making a name for yourself as an actress. Are you currently working on any new television or movie projects?

Absolutely. I’m more so into executive producing and doing things behind the scenes. But I have a couple of ideas about things I want to do. Obviously more film. TV has a lot of money in it right now … If you do it right and you’re with a great network and you have a good product … Because right now it’s all about being visual and being in millions of homes across the country to keep the visibility out there.

When you say television, are you referring to reality television, or something more scripted, similar to your past role on “Army Wives”?

If I had it my way, it would be all three [film, scripted TV and reality TV]. But in a way that I can control it. I’m not necessarily a candidate for a person to have a camera following me all around every day. But if it’s something that I could control what they see and what they don’t see, in certain aspects, then that’s different.

It’s crazy, because I was approached years ago to do a reality show and I was like, “WHAT!? Never!” But now, they’re coming out with these eight-figure deals, we may have to revisit that. [Laughs]

Deep down, I’m rooting for Ashanti! I want her to succeed, because I think she’s a talented singer and pretty good actress. She was at the top of the R&B/hip hop music scene when she first came out, but her star kind of faded. Hopefully, this album does well, and she’ll come back stronger than ever! (I secretly think she and Nelly are together again, too. If they’re not, they need to be!)

Chris Brown Prepping Two New Albums for the Summer

2013 was not the greatest year for Chris Brown, especially after that arrest for alleged assault in Washington, D.C. back in October. Since then, however, he’s been flying under the radar for the most part, which is a very good thing.

Meanwhile, Team Breezy has been patiently waiting for the release of Chris’ new album, X, which he insists is on the way! In fact, he’s giving them TWO new albums, X and an LP version of last year’s mixtape Fan of a Fan, and they’re being released this summer! The singer tweeted:

In spite of everything, I consider Chris to be a great talent, so I’m actually kind of excited to see what he’s come up with!  Summer’s right around the corner!

Justin Timberlake Announces Album Release Date and World Tour

The 20/20 Experience, JT has announced that the sequel is coming sooner than we thought–September 30 to be exact!

The singer posted a pic on Instagram Sunday, showing him playing a guitar in a recording studio. In the foreground is a handwritten sign with the message “The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) Sept. 30th.” The caption read: “#2020Experience2of2 #TheTNKids,” referring to the album and his new fans, The Tennessee Kids (Justin hails from Memphis, TN).

JT also made the big announcement that he will be embarking on a world tour this fall. The North American leg will kick off on Oct. 31 in Montreal, and will hit 21 other cities.

The release of  The 20/20 Experience really showed how much fans missed JT! The album sold 968,000 copies its first week and becoming the fastest-selling album worldwide in iTunes history! So all the more reason for Justin to put out new music and head out to tour (as long as it’s quality work, which I’m sure it will be!). Gotta strike while the iron is hot!

I’m in love with the album, and can’t wait to see what else Justin comes up with this year!

Destiny’s Child Will Release New Compilation Album

Big news for Destiny’s Child fans! The group is set to release a new compilation album on January 29!

Straight from lead singer Beyoncé‘s website, the album, Love Songs, will be comprised of Destiny’s Child classics recorded between 1997-2004. Love Songs will also feature “Nuclear,” the first new Destiny’s Child recording since 2004! Produced by Pharrell Williams (who cowrote the track with DC’s Michelle Williams, James Fauntleroy and Lonny Bereal), “Nuclear” features vocal production by Beyoncé and Lonny Bereal. The compilation will be released under Legacy Recordings.

The website added:

In addition to the new track, “Nuclear,” Love Songs balances romantic, passionate and sensual selections from 1998’s Destiny’s Child (“Killing Time,” “Second Nature”); 1999’s The Writing’s On The Wall (“Now That She’s Gone,” “If You Leave” featuring Next, “Temptation”); 2001’s Survivor (“Brown Eyes,” “Emotion”) and 2004’s Destiny Fulfilled (“Cater 2 U,” “If,” “T-Shirt,” “Love”). Added treats for fans include the Timbaland remix of “Say My Name” (originally released on 2002’s This Is The Remix) and Kelly Rowland’s “Heaven” (a key track from Simply Deep, her 2002 solo album).”

Pre-orders are now available on Amazon! I am BEYOND excited for this album! I was thinking about Destiny’s Child a few weeks ago, wondering if they would ever reunite for an album, a song, whatever. Of course, I would love for there to be a completely new album filled with music, but beggars can’t be choosers! I can’t wait to hear these new tracks!

Missy Elliott and Timbaland NOT Working on Aaliyah Album

Other than supposedly Drake, nobody knows who exactly is working on this Aaliyah posthumous album that’s supposed to be released by her label, Blackground Records. It’s definitely not Aaliyah’s trusted producers Missy Elliott and Timbaland. The two have confirmed that they will not be involved in the project.  In fact, Missy tweeted to a fan that she didn’t even know there was an album coming out until a few days ago.

Missy’s manager Mona Scott-Young wrote in a press release to Billboard:

Although Missy and Timbaland always strive to keep the memory of their close friend alive, we have not been contacted about the project nor are there any plans at this time to participate. We’ve seen the reports surfacing that they have been confirmed to participate but that is not the case. Both Missy and Timbaland are very sensitive to the loss still being felt by the family so we wanted to clear up any misinformation being circulated.”

Missy herself added:

Tim and I carry Aaliyah with us everyday, like so many of the people who love her. She will always live in our hearts. We have nothing but love and respect for her memory and for her loved ones left behind still grieving her loss. They are always in our prayers.”

Though Drake recently collaborated on Aaliyah’s unreleased track, “Enough Said,” Aaliyah’s brother, Rashad Houghton, confirmed on Aaliyah’s Facebook page last week that “there is no album being released and supported by the Haughton family.” The family doesn’t want the album, and without the support of the family, Aaliyah and Timbaland won’t be involved. And to be honest, if it’s merely going to be Aaliyah’s unfinished tracks with another rapper filling the void, I don’t think I want the album either. Let Aaliyah just rest in peace, and let the fans enjoy her already released music.
