It’s that time of year, where celebrities reach out to help others in need. Add NeYo to that list. The singer recently completed a whirlwind charitable tour beginning in Las Vegas and concluding in Washington, DC, with stops in Chicago, Boston and Orlando along the way.
Ne-Yo and the Compound Foundation were welcomed into the Boys & Girls Club and The Kids House in Orlando to present the Compound Foundation’s ‘Giving Tour’ for 4,000 children of the Foster Care and Group Home systems.
Ne-Yo, joined by Adrienne Bailon (Actress/Singer), Angela Simmons (Entrepreneur), LaShawn Merritt (2-time 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist in the 400m), Lt. Col. Alex Cole (pilot for First Lady Michelle Obama) and Darren Henson (Professional Skateboarder and SE Washington, DC native) in his successful efforts of sharing holiday cheer to children across the country.
Of his participation in this foundation NeYo said, “This Giving Tour is needed, and it is my pleasure and my responsibility to show our future leaders, dreams can come true and I am living, breathing proof of this. No child should be deprived of the celebration that comes with the holiday season”.
Love this! It’s always so refreshing to see celebs give back! Werk it, Neyo!
